De Jong started for Hakoah yesterday, so pretty safe to assume he won't be at Nix training on Monday.

That's a shame, he deserved a trial.

Hard to trial a player when he's contracted to another club

Happens quite a lot, esp when there's a jump in playing standard

There will be a few Aussie lads splitting time between A-League clubs and their club teams right now and we'll probably see a few over here at some point

Sure, but you're relying on the lower level club to agree to it so I don't think it reasonable to assume de Jong would just turn up on Monday because we're the Phoenix.

Hi Nelfoos.

Remember this?

I do - looks as though Hakoah have agreed to end his contract/let him trial so I was spot on! He wouldn't be here unless his club agreed.
