Disappointing that Cole Peverley and Kris Bright replying to Piney's twitter post, seem to back the attitude of this AWs player

It's just as I said - there is a feeling of contempt out there among "semi-pro" footballers that the Nix are a shark club not worth doing any work for.

That's a sad indictment on the players more than the Phoenix. They have a far better shot of launching a proper football career playing in the A-League than in the Handy but there's no ambition and they're content with "coaching" for easy money. Its complacent and it hampers football in NZ.

However, it is their decision and their career, its just disappointing that some of our best domestic players have that level of disrespect for the "only" professional club in NZ.

What annoys me with all this is that there is not that much money in the kiwi game and to see average players being paid to “coach”, something which quite possibly they are absolutely terrible at, while most facilities are poor and most decent coaches can’t afford to pay for the upskilling they, the club and the greater game needs, is simply criminal.

They hate it as well. Had coaching at my high school from Bannatyne, Marcelo Grohe, an ACFC keeper from circa 2011 (Dan something?) and Jenny Bindon, and post-career Jenny was the only one who genuinely enjoyed herself. Others seemed pretty miserable
