Just read the article, apparently he's been classed as a "B-type" marquee player and we would receive "most funding" for his signing which would still fall under our salary cap. I thought the whole point of a marquee player was that you could pay him outside of the cap?
Or are we choosing to pay him under the cap because we can't afford to pay him more and the funding we'll get won't be enough?
