We tried marquees, none of them landed. And that's okay. This guy won't be on big money and he really adds something to our squad that we don't have. At the end of the day I'd rather have no marquee than have the wrong marquee. Problem is a lot of potential marquees are older players who are looking for a payday towards the end of their careers. The competive desire and strong team culture that Rudan has introduced relies on everyone giving 100%. If there was no affordable marquee who could promise the same drive and fitness of the rest of the squad it could turn out to be detrimental to a system that currently is working fantastically well, regardless of the players pedigree. Anyway, I do actually quite like this signing too, I think he can do good things for us. Definitely makes us more tactically versatile

In Rudan we trust (now that he's found a place for Kopa and taken us on a winning streak!)

He's better than a lot of the suggested alternatives, gives us tactical depth, is taller than Hamish Watson etc. As someone mentioned, hoping it doesn't mess up our current successful tactics. Williams on a run of goals, Krishna scoring recently, would love Burnsy to sneak a couple- think he has definitely added to our speed and hunger on attack- Singh aod Louis have been helping themselves and now this new lad with pedigree to be a spearhead, but with skill.

Rudan has got great performances out of players a lot of us were writing off- a good third of the squad I'd say! Lets watch what happens next.

Tests coming up- we have to be better than Adelaide, West Sydney and the Jets. These are our current peers. Good to hit Victory sans Honda and I hope we'll be an even better team and push them further next time we play them.
