I didn't see it. Photos? (probably waiting for me on MiSky, he said hopefully)

But I enjoyed the Switzerland thing.

Great to see new stuff from the fever.

Aside: Why can't we just do "black, black, black" (or its equivalent)?Turfmoore2011-02-13 21:46:58

I know, I know, its serious!

I found it weird that I bought tickets just after 3pm with pax numbers up to 11228. The walk up crowd was just around 1500?
Permalink Permalink

People may have bought a ticket for themselves and not used the other one. Ticketek could only print tickets in multiples of two, so I suspect that lots of the tickets didnt get used, hence high PAX amount.

Thanks to the A-League for the face cloths, they will come in handy. For the out-of-towners or fans who didn't go to the game, they were giving out face cloth size towels with the Nix logo on it. You might have seen them being waved each time we scored.

Why were the people with the Swiss flag told by others not to bring it out again? It seemed like a bit of fun, but obviously some of the Fever didn't see it that way.

I think FFA rules state no national flags other than Aus (or NZ). To do with removing 'effnick' stupidity found in now defunct NSL.

Ah that explains it, I wasn't aware of that rule.

Missed the match , still in Japan Land, but seeing the reactuion to DV's goal made me feel I really missed a moment...

I love football!!

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Was an incredible end to the season, everyone was on their feet the second we saw he was taking it.
Hilarious sidenote - on another football site I have seen his permission to take the spot kick branded as "More disrespectful than Chappelle's underarm" - they must be smoking the good stuff over there...

Meh,it was the last kick of the game, and we were up 2-1.
It's not like we didn't think they had the ability to come back,as it was the last kick. Even if it wasn't the last kick, they wouldve needed 2 goals in 30 seconds for it to have come back and bitten us had he missed.

Lighten up Australia. It was a great moment.

One comment on a football site does not an Australia make.

Usai wasn't happy before the kick was taken. The dude had a look of pure terror on his face.

Totally agree with it, but trying to guide 1000 people vs 100 in the Fury 'active' support isn't exactly comparable.

Game was awesome.

My tolerance was very low due to my horrendous hangover, but I note that I was surrounded by 1000% more bogan than I ever have been at a Nix game before. Dumb, incessant pointless comments and beers thrown around.

Game was awesome though.

Another highlight was when Lochead tried to overlap Rojas in the first half. Rojas was running full tilt with the ball, and about 40 metres later Lochead finally caught him. Probably the most tiring overlapping run he'll ever make.

Rojas was jogging, looking to cut inside when lochy went past him.. it completely confused the Furys defence though as they kept tracking rojas so locky was free when he got the ball

LOL, the Furry fans are steaming over Vuko. If they survive, Furries vs. Perf next year will be a grudge match.

Defo. It just gets a bit tiresome after the 12th rendition of 'Oh Wellington' in the first 3 minutes.

I swear we had more variety in the first season.

To be fair, they haven't really got that much to be happy about, have they? Vuko scoring against them was just the icing on the cake.

F**k them, I've got no time for them since their "no colours, no singing" bollocks.

I love seeing them whine about the NZ commentary team when we whine about them even more.  I also love how they whine about ours but send us the ridiculously biased and average collections Fox Sports have.

I feel sorry for the Fury and their fans but I can't believe some of them were complaining about Danny's celebrations. He's the first ever goalie to score in the A-League - what do they expect?!

I will be very, very sad to see Vukovic go. He's quickly become my favourite Phoenix player.

Vuko does have some 'previous' in winding up opposition fans.

...the infamous bottle throwing incident here for instance.

Oh, see, I thought Vuko was playing up to the Yellow Fever, especially as they've been cheering him on to SHOOOOOOOT ever since that game against Perth.

I missed the bottle throwing incident.

Perhaps the other fan was out on the town looking to glass anyone wearing yellow?
