Tell me one of them was Leggy and I might be impressed.

I don't know if Leggy has read that particular thread (or page) yet.

One of them was JV though, who has beefed with me before on several occasions.

Wow! It's like you read my mind, C-D!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Smith should be starting.

Brown at DM - is this a joke?

Agree with Piney in his latest blog- there must be some awesome competition for places at the moment in the front half of the pitch:

Sanchez, Ifill, Greenacre, Daniel, Ward, Brown, Bertos, Pavlovic

With the exception of Bertos, all have scored goals and arguably all have been involved in match winning goals. What would the pecking order be at the moment? Who would be a must pick?

Not sure who would have made the biggest blunders. Ward has definitely improved his game in this regard, Pav's red, while stupid was up the other end of the field from goal...

Competition maybe but not much regular goal scoring talent...Sanchez and Ifill must pick and thats it.

I don't think Sanchez is a 'must pick' yet, he's had a couple of really good games and has been anonymous in the last three.
Keep them all keen I reckon.

Bit late but I choose:
                  Paston
Manny Siggy Dura Locky
     Ward     Lia     Brown
               Sanchez
       Greenie     Iffy
Sub: Warner, Smith, Leo, Daniel.

Leo off the bench for some pace, Daniel for spark, Smith for a 2nd DM to hold a lead (if we have it) and can always be used in a more attacking role if necessary.
Similar to last weeks starting line up, biggest let down of that was the huge gulf between our attackers and the mids. Mids will have to be faster in transition and the Forwards may need to come deeper for this work.
Also CloneMM's formation (previous page) should be used at home some time, it looks fun to watch.

What did anyone think of Greenie in midfield at the end there?
Seemed pretty good I thought, wouldn't start him there of course, but in that situation it worked out nicely.

                      Paston
Manny.   Siggy.    Dura.   Lochead
                     Smith
              Brown Sanchez
   Daniel                           Ward
                      Ifill
Defensively week formation, but this would go with Ifills desire to play all out attack. Think Ifill was terrible on Sunday but looked best up front and we probably need him to fire to make 4th spot.

Results for the teams around us going our way tonight.

This next game is a MUST win, 6 pointer, season defining match.

We've broken the away game hoodoo, now to actualise our strategic vision in this space going forward and continue trending upwards. 24/7.

With the results last night this is a real oppoyunity for us.... Win and third place could be all ours, all ours bwah ha ha........Heart playing Brissy so hopefully Ange's lot can do a job for us then and then we could really help things the following week by beating Heart, all will be good in the world, and very few puppies will have died in the process

No no no. You're not allowed to say that. Any formations based on 11 attackers and no keeper are allowed because 'its what we want to see' Jeff Vader2012-01-19 11:25:48

This one, assuming it is one you were talking about, isn't that weird.

In fact it is almost exactly what we played last week except for Smith/ Lia with Ward (in particular) and Brown a little further forward.

Yeah I'd do the same for this type of formation. Although I'm not sure Ifill is fit enough to start or even play. He wasn't mobile enough last week. I'd completely go back to Leo and Daniel.

Heard an interview with Leo, he was not showing any confidence that he would be starting and said he expected it to be much the same team line up as last week.

They find out today at practice. Said it has been good over there, they are expecting it to be tougher as the Jets have home advantage, but that if they can stick to their game plan, they hope to win.

I don't mind Leo being on the bench. Coming on against tiring defenders encourages him to have a go against them, which is what a winger should be doing!

Daniel was an unlucky omission from the starting team against GCU and I would like to see him back in there. He (and Sanchez) ripped the Jest up the last time we played them.

If we can weather an early storm from the Jest, the game shall settle down and we'll get our chance to push our case. Whenever Ben Kennedy is in goal, we always have a chance.
