Elliottt had a great world cup but I don't think he is what the Phoenix need. Surely It would make more sense to sign Clapham Ive watched him plenty of times in NZFC and he can make some players look very average. I enjoy watching Phoenix but Id love to see a creative Clapham playing in midfield. Maybe even a Roy Krishna up front.

Get your NZFC blinkers off. Both players have trained or trialled with the Phoenix and Ricki didn't like what he saw. Mulligan is tearing up the ASB Premiership, and we all know what he was like at the Phoenix. Elliottt would do the same if he was playing amateur football. The fact he starts and is a standout on many occasions for the All Whites, proves that he is better than Clapham. Maybe one day we will sign the latter, but he's not better than Elliottt, and Krishna is not even close to starting material.
