I have to say, it might actually be better for him that he 'only' broke the bone. of course knee injury always take up a long time. However after a fracture calcifies, if all goes well, it becomes harder to break the bone in the exact same spot. And the fact that no ligaments were involved makes me think that we should, in a way, be a bit relieved.
