The following will hopefully re-sign I think:
Tony Lochhead
Troy Hearfield
Marco Rojas (u21)
Daniel Cortes
Nick Ward
Which means the following will probably leave:
Reece Crowther (gk)
Danny Vukovich
Dylan Macallister
Oscar Roberto Cornejo (Fgn)
Jade North
Diego Walsh (Fgn)
So for me, I think Ward is more likely to stay than the others, but I guess I'm hopeful.
If we assume the 6 I have stated do leave, then I would look to replace them as follows:
Reece Crowther - Young Kiwi Keeper, ideally Spoonley or someone. Will not be too expensive but will have a chance to prove themselves.
Danny Vukovich - We dont want 3 keepers, its just not managable enough in my opinion. If we don't get a young kiwi then I guess we can oick up someone like McMaster but they would probably be worth a bit more
Jade North - Would like him to stay, but realistically, he is doubtful. He also hasnt performed to the highest standard. He is under the Aus Marquee title, and it would be nice to find someone else to spend that on? I think we should look at a capable CB who will challenge Siggy and Durante, but doesn't demand it and use up much cap. Perhaps Boyens?
Diego - Ahh Diego, so much promise, but not enough delivery. He will be on decent dollars id say, and its time for him to go. We are reasonably placed with midfielders, so looking for a quality RB, even if theyre foreign, may be worth it. Look at Cassio's pressence for the Reds. Hopefully we can find someone to fill out our back four
Toto - Never got a real shot to prove himself and dont know if he will. But we really gotta find a playmaker who can produce in this part of the world. The dont have to be south american or whatever, even looking at asia might work. We should look at using marquee money for here or striker
MacAllister - He could win himself another contract, but what we really want is a man who will play solo up front with a good goal record. Marquee money could be used here too. Herbert likes playing 433 which can be 451 so this guy needs to be able to operate solo and efficiently like a Van Dijk or Smetlz
