2. I certainly don't agree that losing Rojas and Ward will mean we automatically finish bottom of the heap next season
3. For all we know, it may always have been Marco's intention to bugger off, irrespective of what the Phoenix had offered him. Those reasons may well have absolutely nothing at all to do with the financial position of the Phoenix or whatever else is on offer here
4. I would assume that the club are actively targeting new players, to replace the players we are releasing from their contracts, if nothing else.
5. Since their inception, until the sh*t hit the fan this year, the Phoenix have been continually paraded as the poster boys for being a well run club. Despite that, we don't exactly have a shining reputation for signing "star" players. This would suggest to me that there are other considerations, outwith the Club itself, which make coming to Wellington a less attractive option than some other clubs. Just means we have to work harder on recruitment.
If people want to start hitting the Prozac, that's fine with me. As I am blessed with good old Scottish pragmatism, I think I'll wait and see what develops before I start to tie the noose round my neck.
