Spent most of the day busy and away from this forum..luckily.
Way too much Rojas red mist/troll baiting.

HN's summary of our first 3 seasons spot on.
This season also agree, with an added observation. We expected an improvement on last season, didn't eventuate, and some have blamed Ricki's WC distraction and  "failed" recruitment as a major cause. Although that situation wasn't ideal, and Ricki as always must bear responsibility for his coaching decisions, in my opinion Terry's parlous financial situation has been the major issue in the season.
The so-called " elephant in the room no one talked about" has been the lack of cashflow.
It minimised the recruitment budget Ricki had to work with, it caused salaries to be late in arriving into accounts..(very late, in Ricki's case apparently)
It caused a reduction in support staff, meaning heavier workloads and omissions, it minimised the marketing options available, affected individual and team morale and confidence in the viability of the Nix as an employer and undoubtedly affected other areas of the Wellington Phoenix business and performance we don't know about.
It's a credit to everyone up until this point that they got through the season as well as they did and remained as loyal as they have to Terry.
Now the season's over for the Nix the fallout effects are becoming apparent.
Here's hoping Terry's refinancing plan works out and turns the Phoenix financials around.
Also,if it comes together, here's hoping the true cost of that is a price we think is worth paying. We'll soon see.
