I'm sick of this argument "I'd rather win the league than sign New Zealanders." For the sake of wasting spots on 'squad' players from overseas why not bring in a couple more young New Zealanders.
The club's name is New Zealand Phoenix: yes/no/shutup?
By saying that you're suggesting the name is Australia Phoenix. Who says the New Zealanders can't be from Wellington? If you look at our past squads every year there has been one or two squad members who don't even feature, so why can't they be young New Zealanders? Andy Bevin and Sean Lovemore. Only one Phoenix player made the current All Whites squad, I know there is injuries and what not but we should have heaps being the only NZ pro club.Luis Garcia2011-03-18 13:49:15
