Jewish popn in BA is apparently the world's 6th largest outside of Israel. It's a big reason why the Mossad managed to pull off the absolutely brilliant kidnapping of Adolf Eichman. Lots of Jewish folk on the ground in BA who could help out with safe houses etc.
Was wandering around the Recoleta area of BA (near where Evita is buried) late Dec last year, and popped into a Jewish bakery for some sort of pastry.
Edit - I really enjoyed the Netflix series 'The Spy', with Sacha Baron Cohen playing the famous & incredibly fearles Mossad agent Eli Cohen, an Egyptian Jew. Cohen first managed to infilitrate into the Syrian elite by hanging out at Syrian embassy parties in BA. When caught years later by the Syrians in Damascus, he was very publicly hanged in the main square there.
