Important to remember that football in NZ, might be on a high come the start of ALM season 2026/27. That's if the AWs do well at the WC, especially if they made the R32. Like I say a "might be" scenario.
But certainly the Nix got a crowd boost off the back of the AWs success in 2009 and 2010, and football being on an overall nationwide high. Different to now yes, in that alot of the AWs squad were at the Nix, plus the coach. However a strong link still remains.
Be shame if the club weren't well positioned for that 2026/27 season, in a good overall healthy state. Long time between now and then. Time for both the men's & women's teams to turn things around.
