It’s the team who that matters most because of a history of the FA banning the women’s game because it was getting too popular and they were worried about their revenue, and because of guys like Jim Ratcliffe who aren’t interested in it. 

Porirua, Bev and the fans have been a breathe of fresh air and the women’s team have been playing some really good football. And have replaced big injuries quickly and without fuss twice. 

Both Uffie and Chief had good chances to win a Premiership. We need a coach who can get 5 more minutes defense and not get hit by distance bombs from Doka and a guy who hasn’t scored in over a decade.

I know you guys both have identified something not working- no titles. And more importantly this season no fans. But how to get there isn’t necessarily obvious or pretty. As many fouls as Auckland FC? Cosgrove and Corica? Ownership by an international football group? An owner who spends the bank to win a couple of times and then has to bail? 

Suggestions are open.
