Energie Cottbus v Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal 1st Round is live on the German Football you tube channel at 6:45am tomorrow (Tuesday).

First half down, Bayern 1-0 up against Cottbus. 83% possesion tells you a little bit about how the game is going.

Singh on the bench in favour of other talented youth like Jan-Fiete Arp. Bayern fielding a full-strength team so might be hard to crack some minutes here.

Also an absolutelty stunning stadium imo

Finished 3-1 to Bayern.

Ivan Perisic had his medical in Munich today, looks like a loan deal between Inter and Bayern has been agreed. Perisic would be more of a Robben replacement, but would still add to the congested numbers in the attacking part of the field.

still don't see how being on bench is going to develop him long term...balancing act(not falling off either) I spose between playing and being part of higher standard

Let's give it a bit of time first. He's probably not going to have too many opportunities, but so far there have been only two competitive games and he's been selected on the bench for both.

Training with the first team alone must to wonder for his fitness and speed of thought - you train alongside players who are always two steps ahead of you. Let's see how he goes over the next week weeks I say...

And then people wonder when they play Hernandez instead of Singh. He was 136 times more expensive.

Million bucks. Pretty much the number that was speculated at the time.

Bayern have kicked off their Bundesliga campaign, playing Hertha Berlin. 2-1 down at halftime, so chances of Singh getting on in the game probably not very high.

Finishes 2-2, no Singh.

With Perisic already there, Coutinho imminent, and Cuisance also on the verge, the chances of Singh being loaned out are steadily increasing. I don't think they'll send him to 3. Bundesliga (at least I hope they don't, seems it would be a waste if they think he's more advanced than that level).

Honestly would still be surprised if he goes on loan yet, even after the arrival of coutinho and perisic. Bayern have the champions league, league and domestic cup to compete in throughout the year. They still only have about 20 outfield players. As long as Kovac is around, he'll get a chance

Annual finals disappointment enthusiast.

For a little while training with those players at that level is going to be huge for him. The training sessions alone will be of better quality football than any games for the Nix he ever played.

yep 4 and a half months in that environment before hopefully being loaned out to a club in January in the second division and starting minutes there would be ideal

Why second div? I would rather he go to a lower team in the top div if possible aka one of the promoted teams etc.

there's a myriad of reasons why moving to a top div club on loan can be detrimental for development - more pressure, being thrown in the deep end, being relied on to carry the team, potential relegation struggles, poor quality of play compared to opposition, etc.

Absolute bollocks... he needs to stay a Bayern and take advantage of everything they have to offer a young athlete. Going to a lesser club would be a waste of time for him and is development.

Bayern don't play again until next Sunday.

Bayern II (currently third last in Bundesliga 3) play this Tuesday. Singh could be a chance of getting some minutes with them. He hasn't played now for a few weeks.

He is with one of the best coaching setups in world cup football. I'm sure they will have a thought out plan for him, whether that be a potential loan deal, or just yo-yoing between the first & second squads all season long.

why move when he can easily go between the 1st team and the 2nd team? He can still train with 1st team day in and day out, if no game time with 1st team one week then play for 2nd team next week! His us only 20 and already exceeded most expectations of him this season. A month the talk was about playing for BM2 being best thing for him...

Not often I agree with NP, but there you are.

If we come back in a years time and Singh is still sitting on the bench getting no actual game time, that's a different story. He's only been there a few months.

Played full game along with Alphonso Davies in a 2-1 win.

2nd victory for Bayern II this season, and they rise up to 13th. Go above 1860 Munchen who these days languish in 3. Liga.
