Didn't do too much but didn't do much wrong

Was the kind of performance you want when you get thrown in as a midfielder; solid, if not spectacular. He had one chance on the edge of the box to shoot and kind of panicked; just passed it to no one in the end; apart from that, did well from what I saw.

It is crazy that he did not look out of place. Don't think Arsenal were taking it easy, either - the game was really high tempo for pre-season and all of our first XI were there.

He clattered into Xhaka with a bit too much enthusiasm which I thought was quite funny.

That picture is so surreal. A player that I used to watch play for the Nix reserves and then the Nix first team at Westpac Stadium, now team mates with Robert Lewandowski at Bayern Munich!!

Real Roy of the rovers type stuff. Isn't it great to have a wholely positive Nix news story for once? Even the naysayers who said hed never get near the first team have slowly slinked away. He has a long way to go until he is starting at that level, but really good signs.
