They couldn't organise a root in a brothel. And yet again the pre match and lame half time entertainment was put on soley for the supporters in aisles 24 to 30. Apparently aisles 9 to 20 don't exist. Just like in the competitions they run. Although on a good positive, that prematch idiot witht the camera crew don't come over to our side othe ground. I thank God for small mercies.
I didn't know that - I thought it was the ground (Westpac Stadium) admin responsibility.
If it is true then I am getting a bit angry since the club offers us a product we should like to buy (i.e. 'buy' by at least attending a game up to a faithful commitment of getting a season's pass). We are dealing with an unpredictable beast (sport) in terms of 100% satisfaction because can't 'buy' a winning result at home every game (OK, maybe we could, but let's not go there...) but surely we could at least buy a better home ground package, from announcers to entertainers?
This is of course part of my overall ongoing grumble about the apparent lack of media-savvy PR person in the club, one that would ensure we get better media coverage in this country, not just in the NZ Herald or the Radio Sport. The mainstream FTA TV channels (1, 3) should have at least a mention in the evening 6pm sports bulletin where the 'Nix is playing coming weekend, who they are playing, maybe a 15 sec interview with the coach, etc? In other words as much as they give to the "newsworthy" item that a rugby league player is likely to move from Canberra to Cronulla? A news item in the rugby league off-season? It is nothing else than lack of a proper PR, which is puzzling in the light of Gareth Morgan's ability to put himself about in the public eye.
