Squad is so thin I'm pretty worried, might be wishing I was out doing something else on a Saturday night rather than sitting at home watching this.

You can do both.
Game is tonight
Yeah, you're right. Took the day off for a long weekend and got my wires crossed!

Note to your boss:
"never allow Ryan a day off, or his internal clock will suffer"

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

I have a bad feeling about this game...

BUT our season has been based off getting points when we normally wouldn't other years.

We will get a win. We go defensive and sneak in a few counter goals.

I would expect Brisbane will try to explore our potential squad weaknesses and put on an attacking show tonight.
However, one quality I admire in Chiefy is his tactical creativity; hence I quietly hope he'd know how to set up a trap for the hosts.  I would think this game will not be decided until late in the second half.

For those who are keeping up...(pun of the year!), is it true that Keep Up is being disestablished?
I couldn't get last week's game from Japan (it worked previously) so ended up on a dodgy stream. Do I have to resort to that again tonight?

i dont know why this is happening as i have the same problem.  I read from someone to use a vpn to brazil and tried that and got the stream.  sadly i will still be at work so will miss at least the first half

We WILL undoubtedly beat Vanilla Chocolate Thunder and his minions, I can feel it. It's literally our character arc.

The good guys vs mad bad Zad and his dad.

A really interesting interview.  He comes across as a humble decent bloke devoted to his family.  He was thoughtful and considerate in his comments.  Happy to have him back in ALM.

Expect us to struggle to control the game and keep possession without rufer so the chief will probably set us up to sit back and try to counter attack similar to how we played at victory and sydney with the goal being not to lose, as he said in his press conference

Finally found it!!
Brisbane at home (W-D-L) = 14-4-4
Therefore US AWAY = 4-4-14

Us at home = 7-9-6
Therefore roar away to us = 6-9-7

We have only won 4 times in Brisbane in club history.

I'm maybe a little surprised that Chiefy hasn't received any criticism for saying he has been managing Sutton's ankle injury but that it had progressed to a tear. Seems like that isn't a very good job of managing it? It isn't like LKH is burnt out, and most would say his performances have been at the very least comparable to Sutton's at LB this season. He was only needed last week because Chiefy switched to a back 5. Maybe not the best time to try it when your left wingback is under an injury cloud?

A real vote of no confidence in Conchie, Hughes coming into the side instead of Fin

Maybe a 5-3-2? Very surprised to see Conchie still on the bench, pure speculation but maybe those blow ups with Uffie at training weren’t just an Uffie issue?

Not too disheartened over the starting line up given the current context of the squads injury crises/card induced unavailability. With Old, Zawada, and Conchie on the bench. There's fire power ready to be injected into the final third of the match provided we can stay in it for the first hour.

It may succeed or it may not but might as well give Van Hattum a proper punt today. Hard to make too much judgement when he very rarely gets more than 10 minutes off the bench so far in his career. If ever there was a time for him to make a statement and announce that he belongs at this level, it's today.

COYN! 🔥

Surely as he signed Conchie he’s giving him feedback as to what he wants to see? Lads only 17 or 18 or something right?

Just to piss off the three of us Nix fans living in Japan I reckon…
Sent emails to keep up and the club, so may get an answer at some point. Possible along the lines of tough luck, we’re out of dosh and you guys are the ones we’re cutting…A little irritating, but we’ll see I guess.

Al-Taay and OVH on the same side of the field is just asking for chaos. And I’m here for it! Loving how both have started this. COYN!
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

The young guy on the left is tentative carrying the ball forward or making the pass. Fair enough, but it’s a factor. He’s confident to Surman square.

Painful.

We just knocked it around our back 3 for 5 minutes then hit a long ball for a Brisbane goal kick….

given its warm and humid, i think our tactic would be...to slow things down and control the tempo, and hopefully drag the game to about 60mins mark, to sub on Zawada and Old for a final push to win.

Has Al-Taay just swapped from RB to left midfield? Looks like OVH out wide.

Potentially better.

Hughes still lacking the confidence to make a forward pass.

When we get the ball to OVH down the right he looks like our best outlet. Mind you it hasn't come off just yet, but happy to see if he gets it right.

At least he seems happy to take on the man and looks more willing to try and get a cross in compared with that of LKH.

He looked dangerous twice, so his last 3 or 4 possessions have been getting the ball, back to goal and passing back.

Just need a but more confidence going forward. We knock it around at the back but we're actually good enough to push forward more. Maybe it's tactics I don't know but I feel like we can inflict more damage than that
