Think Piney and Ifill are slightly underselling that performance by saying it wasn't the greatest. We were very clinical, were a whisker away from winning it by four goals, while WU couldn't find a way through our defence and barely managed a shot.

WU had the better of a draw with Sydney last week; we saw them off with ease, despite my nervousness in the last 20.

Negotiated. Ticked off the task list. Good! Wanted to see van Hattum running a bit at the end, but oh well.

This always sharks me - a-league refs love booking keepers for 'time wasting' when in reality they are probably taking no longer to take the kick than at any other point in the game.

 6434 crowd sounded massive. Love hearing WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE! 

Had to watch in silence but it looked like a good party despite the reduced number. Superb effort but boy did our shape go when we lost rufer (and then Al-taay). Happy Saturday nixers!

Good outing from the lads! Western played like they were 12th and we did the job we needed to do with another short turn around. Whilst the 2nd goal counted as an Oggy, I'd be giving Pennington a spiritual brace.

If they beat Melbourne they’re still 5 pts ahead of us with a game over us so even if we draw against them will be positive result

David Ball may not be finding the back of the net but his performance week on week has been top notch. I can see why Chiefy has faith in him. Today he was massive. As much in defence as anywhere else. The Rufer, Pennington, Ball . . . combination and when he plays Al-Tay - is perhaps the main strength of this team. And the Al Tay/Paine combo with the switching of roles is also working very well.

The plan certainly worked today.
We played so well out from the 6 yard box,and then hit them with the long ball over the top. Still too negative on occasions, but because we were up,it worked. 
Not so sure about parking the bus for the last 15,but today,it worked.

There was some great play at times.

Agreed. Except for Surman and Wootton and Kosta and Kraev and Zawada and Old and Kelly Heald and Paulson.  I mean agreed, because those guys you mentioned have had as good a grip on the midfield as we've ever had. But all those others have done the bizz too. It's a team game and we're working as a team. I'm really finding it hard to single out players. Throw Chief in because he's been as much of it as any subset of players. Throw in Welnix and the Academy and the staff there because half this team comes from there.  I'm not meaning to be disagreeable, but we've got a lot right. And, this season it may be enough.

Complete performance. Can‘t find anything that was wrong with the game. Well done lads.

Plus we played Tuesday. WU Saturday. 

Apart from maybe 15 mins we controlled that game and were also able to make early subs.

Still not as 'entertaining' as we'd all like.  I'd like to think we're pacing this season well. Just building. Touch wood.

Complete performance from us today. In control the whole game and western couldnt get anything at all against our strong performance. Good spells of attacking possession, could have easily scored a few more.

I think Kosta was off the boil today and had 3-4 possessions in the box that he should have made into better shooting opportunities. Then we would’ve looked a bit better on the scoreboard. Despite that he ran and hustled all day and did get it right some of the time. 

With the last sub we were anticipating bringing on OVH for about ten minutes, which would have made us much more attacking and likely created another couple of chances late on. 

Just as we did Pennington somehow managed to injure his ankle in a shooting chance and was subbed for a defender. 

As well it worked because they were missing Imai and overall weren’t as good as CC. 

Well done lads. Haven't watched the game yet because of other commitments, so will try and get the replay in tomorrow at work.

Good to see the mid season unbeaten streak going strong still. 💪

Definitely been eclipsed by being top of the league, but that's a sneaky seven undefeated now.

Must mention as well, top vibes in the fever today.

I just checked and our best points haul was 46 in 2014/15 season. We’ve set ourselves up well to have a real crack at topping that number this season.

What a fudgeing day for our title hopes! Bulls beat the Vuck and Uffie helps us out by beating CCM. Huge results! 17 games played... Starting to let myself dream. If we're still top in three weeks I think we're a huge chance to get some silverware. God I love this club
