I was surprised that they left OVH out entirely, as I hold the opinion he’s a better player than a few in the squad.
Particularly as we haven’t had much impact off the bench and he certainly did last year.
I think for the Orange dude it’s either a personal connection or something like that.

I think it’s okay to say our squad was quite a bit better last season. Some of it is player v player last season was better, some of it is last season’s players knew each other much better as they’d played together longer and some of it is Chief introducing a new way of playing, but being a player or two short of doing it well or it taking a while to bed in.

I’d love to see Supyk do well, but he’s got no pedigree at this level yet. Certainly not in terms of replacing Zawada, Kraev or Old. Would be overjoyed if he played a few games and did, of course! And as has been said we’re not seeing him train.

As well as that Al-Taay, OVH and Ball have played less than we might have expected. This seems to be a Chief tactic as last season one of our more experienced players in Sutts was initially benched. Perhaps it hasn’t worked so well as the younger team replacing them isn’t as cohesive as last season’s.

And yeh, sorry bit lazy not listening to Chief’s post game’s if I want him to explain his decisions.

Finding it frustrating this season we’re very close to being a very good team, but somehow not quite there. And the worst examples come from us offering little threat off the bench, compared to various opponents.
