Last year he had 1 goal, 4 assists, won a penalty and had a guy sent off for dogso. All in 372 minutes. Better figures than anyone in this squad.
I know why Nate the Grate doesn’t select him; and it’s not because he has ‘biggest brain in the a-league’, but really curious why yellow fever guys hate on him so much?

OVH had a good season in Chiefy's first campaign as head coach. Filling a variety of roles. I was at the Roar game in Brisbane, where he was mostly at RWB, and he impressed with a crunching tackle to save a possible goal, and then won the ball near the Roar's box, leading to Al-Taay crossing for Kraev to nod home.
This season I thought/hoped he could part fill the void left by Old's departure. That's based around the fast counter attack transistion setup of last season.
Is he a victim of Chief seeking a more 'stylish' possession based game plan this season? There just being other players better in that setup?
Whilst it's tough not getting many mins in A League games to show your stuff, as Jazzy above says he's been in the first team squad 3 seasons now. That's countless training sessions to be judged on. In pro football ever session you are yes being assessed.
I'm a fan, of a 3rd NZ team somehow being launched out of ChCh, in the next few years. It's a shame that young Kiwis like OVH (and others like Randall, even Champness) ain't getting much mins this ALM season. Sometimes it can be that you are ALM quality, but just don't fit into a particular coach's setup/plans. If you are a young Aussie in such a predictament cast adrift, well you have 10 other clubs that might look at you.
Unfortunately for OVH his contract expires at the end of this season, and unless things change quickly at the Nix it's hard to see him being re-signed. Down to NZ domestic football, the LOI, USL or Finland as likely next destinations. Such is the brutal world of pro football.
