All this discussion over a guy who's a squad player at his absolute best is crazy.

How do you know what his absolute best is? We’ve spent a lot of time on Hughes, on Sheridan, on Fin Roa Conchie and a lot of others who are perhaps marginal as starters. They’re all Phoenix family.

I feel like this is what was pissing ClubOranje off so much- the dismissive attitude towards OVH and his achievements, while overlooking other players’ failings.

No one is calling for Sheridan to be cut from the squad after a poor sub appearance at LB and few of us are as sneering about Colakovski despite 0 goals and 0 assists, and few passes or successful dribbles completed.

If Marco produced the assists OVH did last season it’d be a sign he was Kiwi Messi returned.

Despite recent expectations, not everyone who starts in the A league needs to be ready to play in Ligue Un or the MLS. You can be a good A league pro without signing for Bournemouth.

The discussion is because he’s been left out of the squad after the main competitor for his spot picked up a long term injury. That’s discussion worthy.

Edit: and I think you were spot on about Hughes, and explained that tricky situation really well, but I think  a few people here are reacting to things other than the shifts we’ve seen Oskar put in, given we’re not watching training.
