Brazendale has been tidy. Longo just running the attacks. She's classy.

She is, but haven't seen her do much.  Others may have a better idea though as I'm watching on a tiny screen and don't know who is there some of the time.
Brazendale isn't exactly a flashy player - often she does the important stuff in midfield that goes unnoticed

How was that not a free kick on edge of the box?

Hey we've started this half well though! Unlucky not to score from that corner

Vilao just pushed her own defender out of the way then missed the cross completely. How did Perth not score?

Just don't know what to make of this game! Constantly when it seems like one team is on top the momentum shifts without warning and the tables turn. Let's hope we can take one of our chances.

I was halfway through writing that it felt like the score line could easily have been higher, but this is NOT what I meant.

If Ferguson was any use at all she scores at least 3 there and we win.
The last half hour was poor ,sacrificed the midfield  and were then unable to get the ball to our strikers.
Ferguson should have been the one pulled.
Good night.

If we still had Speckmaier instead of her I reckon we'd be 3rd right now

Woke up to this.  It's so depressing being a Nix fan.  Luckily other results going our way but have my doubts we will make the top six

I'm genuinely confused as to why Tanaka isn't starting or even on the bench. Paul Temple confuses me.  Can a journo ask him what the heck is going on?

Well, he keeps picking Ferguson who couldnt hit a barn door from six steps.
After some tremendous performances from Main a few weeks ago, we have hardly seen her. Her and Jerez were given nothing to rescue the game yesterday. Ferguson was given some sitters on a plate, including one directly from the Perth keeper, and couldnt convert.

Frustrating!

Longo really did look frustrated in the post-match interview, despite her best efforts to put a brave face on it. It'll be interesting to see how we look after the international break.

And I normally refrain from critiquing players because I'm woefully unqualified to do so, but despite Fergusson's goal (credit where credit is due), that miss at the 15-minute mark after Longo set her up so beautifully gets more painful with each rewatch.

Maybe the heat was sapping everyone's will to live because it sure looked rough out there, but we seemed completely off our game for this one at both ends of the pitch.

Yes, I agree that the heat looked to have sapped our performance for the last 30 min. You'd hope that Main would sink both chances from Longo's through passes. Her only goal from open play this season was from finishing a through ball. At least now Fergusson seems to be making runs that the midfield can connect with, which has seemed to be a problem up till now.

Maybe but Fergusson's finishing is appalling and currently her confidence is shot. It makes one wonder if the Nix has anyone who can coach how to finish off chances.
