Sydney maybe last but they seem to be improving & only have 1 point less than us over the last 5 matches. Can't take them lightly.

Is Saturday the 15th?

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

The 16th March was a Saturday in 2007. Even the Calendar has gone retro

Wanderers vs Victory crosstown kicking off around the same time was postponed for heat reasons. I know Sydney is a big city but that probably beckons for a hot game for us or even delayed kickoff

Higher stakes now after tonight's results, WU beat Canberra 4-3, Perth draw 3-3 with CCM, meaning we can jump into 5th if we win tomorrow night.

Brisbane can take it back though if they beat or draw with Newcastle on Sunday.

Let's hope our match doesn't face disruption like WSW's one already has.

Have a bad feeling about this one but hope to be wrong.

We played well vs WSW but recent away record has been poor, Sydney are having a rough season but their good performances have all come at home. Played well in home wins vs Brisbane and Canberra, have a habit of dictating possession and general play but not making the most of it in the final third.

Anyway, if we win it's a big stride towards qualifying for finals.

Seems pretty even so far.  Wondering where our goal will come from?

Started okay but starting to lose a few too many 50/50s in our own half. Hopefully the heat doesn't get to us like it has in some other away games.

That was strange from Jaber - she didn't seem to notice the Sydney attacker was there, then unfortunately slipped over trying to turn when she realised.

That was the most ridiculous yellow I've ever seen! Jaber just trying to get the ball so she can take the free kick and the sub keeper kicks it away from her.

Sydney giving us no time on the ball, and causing turnovers. We are outgunned in midfield.  Whinhams ineffective and giving away possession

That's a yellow for throwing the ball away surely? Deliberate time wasting

Yes after the sub kicked the ball away from her. Ridiculous yellow but typical of this referee.

I was really impressed with Whinham when she first played for the Nix, but she really hasn't developed at all - in fact she seems to have regressed.

Longo signed for next season? Almost feels like the coach playing with the under-14s sometimes, she seems such a step ahead!

Jaber... that's a silly yellow to pick up when you already have one.

Honestly I'd take a point now.
