Down 2-1 for the second leg at home, hopefully at a sold out Porirua Park they can find their scoring boots https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/360974336/scoring-drought-threatening-wellington-phoenixs-grand-final-dream

If you are coming to the game, don't forget you can join YF prematch at Feathers with a bus to the game https://yellowfever.co.nz/categories/wellington-phoenix-women/topics/wahinix-express-semi-final-bus

The Brisbane girls were celebrating after the win as if they had won the tie which is dangerous, as in reality its only half time.

Pretty much where I thought it would be, though didn't know about the extra small one beside where the benches are. The one at the end was the only greenspace to put the stand really, as other end is the bankment. Then they would want the benches and the TV camera opposite the Grandstand. My only question will be if they have another small stand down the other end by the away bench as this photo isn't mine.

Done a quick and dirty mark up, red is the new stands in this photo. Blue is the benches and yellow the TV stand that they were doing by midway through the season, so tv cameras was on the other side. Green is me wondering if there will be another stand down that end and the unmarked end is the bankment.

They've released more tickets for the extra stands and even in the grandstand which I thought was sold out

Saw this too late as well, only learnt about them being in Midland Park on the news, you'd think they could have let people know on Tuesday  since Wednesday afternoon is too late notice for those who had already travelled into Welly to work! And then they wonder why no one shows up.

Edit,  I think Sunday will be our 99th game.

In fairness they're in the box seat, can't blame them for being excited by that.  Our girls would be reacting the same I suspect if the result went our way.

Here we go, Nix have sent out the guide for the day. Going to be crazy busy at the ground, as last game with 1,700 felt pretty busy.

Must say the media coverage has been pretty good this week.

Not sure a public signing is what is needed on game day though, day before sure, but 2 and a half hours before kick off doesn't seem like a good idea.

Poor by the club (not the players, coach fault) to be honest. It also reveals to the Roar coach on what team will be starting for us as I'd be dumbfounded if any starters attend.

Bit of an over reaction, would imagine the Roar will have a pretty good idea what the team will look like they will be facing. If anything an over sell from the club because very unlikely any players in the match day squad will be there.
Seems no matter whatever the club does to try and promote the club or games there is always some who just want to critisize them

Good point, it's probably going to be Emma Main, Alyssa Whinham, Tessel and CJ.  Still high profile enough you'd feel.

I sincerely hope Macey Fraser is starting.  We really need her vision, passing skills and overall football brain to control and orchestrate the midfield.
Brisbane then would be wary of giving away free kicks around the box because of Frasers ability to score from range.  Would also give a bit more space around the area.
In saying that Nix, need to attack much better than they did in Brisbane.
KEEP HOLD OF THE BALL!!
Really looking forward to the game, NIX CAN DO IT!!!

No point in starting someone who isnt ready to, we have got where we are this season without her starting think they are capable of correcting last weeks mistakes. Do agree Masey should be maybe having more minutes but its obvious they are being very careful about overloading her to early in her come back. For her and the team im really happy for the cautious approach.
If Pia is able to start that maybe solve some of last weeks issues.

Fraser,Vlok and Woods need to be our attacking threat, but why hasn't Fraser been seen before? I cant see it changing.

Its been said plenty of times why she hasnt been playing as they work through mental health issues. Ideal situation i think she would be starting but more than happy to see her in whatever way those handling it deem to be best for her.

Shocking crowd for an all Melbourne semi.

Victory pretty benign.

Last year it was at AAMI with a crowd of 6.5k, my guess is they’ll do that again since there’s nothing showing as booked for next weekend.

Edit: my ticket says 2:30 so I'll assume that's correct 🤣
