City haven't lost all season but did play in Brisbane last night, so a shortish turnaround. We really need at least a point here.
I know i sound like a broken record but we ABSOLUTELY MUST BLOODY WELL WIN THIS. Give us something football gods. 🙏

I don’t have the creative talent to come up with the words myself, but we should get a Sporty Spice chant going for this one.

Canberra won away in Perth which is disappointing.
Right now Canberra and Western Utd look like non-negotiable must wins for us, then we have to see what we can get against City too.
Even if our side of the bargain is good we need help from Canberra/Roars opponents. It's certainly a long shot now

It is def a lot harder with Canberra winning last night. We won't win this game.. best we could hope for is a draw but with the Vucks win now leaving them two points behind, they'll come out fighting and be way too strong for us. I only hope Speckmaier doesn't score against us.

🔥🔥Game Day🔥🔥
Not expecting much, but if we can pull off a draw then that unexpected point may really help us.
Other than that, if we can prevent Speckmaier from scoring I'll consider that a decent consolation.
Anyway 3-0 Nix win incoming 🔥🔥

Fully prepared to lose sadly. Hope we are competitive like we were last time against them

Nice touch. Barbieri just spontaneously gave her keeper gloves to a fan.

We are still in it, but boy we need to lift our game up a notch
Jaber and Speckmaier got bad blood between them?? Could come to blows

Grim.. Fergie missed early header and Jaber can’t contain herself again.

McMeeken on for Jaber by the looks of it. Gives us a chance finish with 11 players!

Yeah, but Elliott s gone to right back, and we are losing. Not the move i would have made. No sign of Tanaka either.

That's it, season really is done and we could still win the spoon

Keeper was great.
Barry was great today.
Not enough use of Tanaka.
Everything else has been said before.

our subs had no impact. Not sure why Temple persists with that move since it didn't work last week.
To think it we has defended better for that goal we may have got a point.Fenix

Tanaka looks more skilful than teammates. The commentator said she was an important player, but looks like she didn’t start today nor last game at home? Then again the commentator said a shot was going top corner before being saved which it was clearly not.

We played better than I expected but my expectations were low. Good first half and honestly we were unlucky to go into HT behind, but second half we were pretty poor, at times wild with misdirected long passes, while City were composed and calmer. And once again the final third lets us down. The front two experiment with Fergusson and Main I don't blame Temple for trying but it clearly didn't work.
Also wish we played to the conditions better - with that wind and our record of creating chances from open play, better to try win free kicks and corners and create havoc like we did once or twice in the first half.

Worth noting Mariners play Brisbane later - we need Roar not to win.

Elliot was poor today, wall good defensively but unable to cross.

No wonder Melbourne City are top. They have two terrific centre backs who not only win everything but are terrific playing forward. And they're quality all over the park. Jale was awesome for us and it was a pretty solid team performance but we struggled up front as has been the case most of the season.

CCM delivered. This time round I don’t mind them scoring two, although I’d still rather they hadn’t done it last game.
