That’s a beautiful free kick! Better add Fraser to that live Golden Boot billboard.

Wow. Super goal by Fraser. This just makes me dream of a 10k stadium for the mens imagine what we could bring with 4-5x more fans in a close ground

Awesome goal.  Great fight back after a dicey looking opening 10mins.

On tv it sounds like some munters are revving their cars nearby..

brilliant first half, thought we looked a little shell shocked early on but we found our feet and owned the last 20ish minutes. Still a little concerned about davidson at RB, she comes with a great reputation but I'm yet to see her quality. The rest look brilliant out there, especially against a team that dominated the league last season.

Second look at it and the keeper's got her wall and positioning a bit wrong. Brutal strike though.

There's room for for another stand over the other side of the ground there. #JustSayin'

To the brains trust who gave Macey Fraser a 3 year deal. Bravo! 👏

Early days, but arguably the best piece of business the Nix have ever managed.

Macey Fraser is easily the most talented player that the Wahinix have ever had and it's not close. Her close control and awareness is insane and obviously the shooting speaks for itself.

Gee I thought before- we’re 2-0 up bringing on Longo and with Kelly Brown in reserve on the bench. This team is simply different sauce.

To be fair they probably deserve their goal. There have been times this afternoon where they've looked like they've had goals in them, but for a poor touch or a poor finish.

We've been well worth the 3 points though, absolutely no doubt about that!

Errrm- did anyone ask the women about shirts off? Not saying it’s not a touching traditional gesture and all, but…well I’m not convinced the aesthetic merits are universally appreciated!

Wonder what the crowd figure was? Hopefully good enough to encourage the club to persevere with Porirua. It's a very nice scenic little ground (on TV anyway) and would look even better with grandstand and hill full. Some decent crowd noise came through and gave the game some atmosphere.

Croud was about 1700

Domey sounded very positive about the ticket sales prior to kickoff, so hopefully the club made a bit of money on that turnout.

Week in week out home games at Jerry Collins please. 🙌

The whole afternoon looked and sounded fantastic. Well done to all those who travelled out.

Just need more than 1 food truck.  Spent half the second half standing in the line before giving up.  Hungry kids just had to wait haha.

The vibes in the crowd and the game itself, awesome!  The smaller stadium definitely felt much more awesome with the crowd size.

What an absolute vibe that stadium was, great atmosphere and top notch viewing. Wouldn't mind heading there to watch every week!  And what a great performance from the Nix, entertaining for sure!

Literally the only downer for the event was the lack of beer.

Nice little stadium. Good atmosphere. Excellent game.
Only negative for me is that the grass, while nicely cut, seemed to slow down the ball movement. Very different to Sky Stadium in that regard.

Miles better than some of the Aussie pitches however.

Well, I really enjoyed that afternoon out.
I had a great view from the back of the stand, we won.
I was near the Fever who added some entertainment.
Phoenix looked good, I do enjoy watching this team, even though we can do better.

How good was Macey Fraser, she was so confident, so mature, so impressive. Unfortunately we wont keep her for long at that rate.

We should have had that game sewn up by halftime, even though I know we had to do some excellent last line defence to keep WU out in the first half.
The overall team performance was great, we certainly looked more of a team than WU did.

Speckmaier impressed me a lot, loads of great first touches and she set up others beautifully.

I was very pleased when Longo came on, she adds plenty to that midfield, we need her starting with Fraser - they work very well together.

Brown looks quick and strong, good to have her on board.

I still think we can improve this set-up, but the squad is good and they looked to be having a lot of fun too!

Errrrm- avert your eyes then.
What the fans do, has nothing to do with the players.
If some people want to carry on the Phoenix tradition, good on them.

I thought it was a terrific team performance. Noting that WU were finalist last year and have some very good players. The back four did a great job especially McKenzie on their big striker. Kate Taylor gets better every game and her physical presence is a huge asset to this team. Knott was impressive first half as was Main. Speckmaier was a constant threat and Breslin has quality but I think we're all waiting for her to finish one then the goals will start to flow. Add to that the quality that is coming off the bench and things are looking very positive. COYN.

Great game, but Piney on the commentary said "this team have never conceded a goal in the first hour of play this season".
He is the king of statistics, but is this his most pointless one yet?
(I suppose it could indicate a fitness issue ...)

Fracey was 2 years younger whgen they had access to her, at 19 she may not have been ready or as composed as she is now.

Macey Fraser...class is permanent. Ferns lock in for next 10+ years.

Good vibes at the new home! Girls seem to be enjoying the football this year, body language and intensity is better, noticeable!

Keep it going!

Commentators are all pretty bad but Piney is right down there with the worst. Should stick to radio. Watching games live is so much better than listening to incessant talk from TV commentators.

Piney is one of the best in the A-League, head and shoulders above most of the Aussies in the same role and those who have done similar roles before him (Dewhurst, Ngata). He's far from perfect but to say he's one of the worst is ludicrous.

I did enjoy Katie Barrott's insights as well, helps that she knows the players well!

I agree. Piney at times can be a bit stats heavy. but he is one of our best commentators, good at changing the pitch in his voice to add emphasis to the drama on the field. But I do like that they are mixing it up this year with the local commentators.

Katie Barrott was a breath of fresh air, we've had the droning of Kirsty Yallop for the first two games who was terrible. Monotone voice and felt the need to basically co-commentate, whereas Barrott popped up now and then with insightful comments, her and Piney are definitely the standard.

Porirua Park looked great on TV. Good noise and the TV pictures were ok.
Looked like the wind was a genuine breeze that you can learn to use to your advantage by knowing how to play with and against the breeze, compared to the swirling breeze at Sky stadium which is more unpredictable and doesn't give any advantage to teams used to playing in breeze. Could be a factor this team could use to help turn PP into a fortress ?.
WU looked like they were struggling somewhat with the wind especially on set piece. In contrast I was super impress with Fosters near post deliveries on corners in those conditions. Although the breeze definitely helped with there stoppage time goal. The way the ball dipped. Caught Rylee Foster out that one.
