A close one and sometimes you don't get the bounce of the ball your way. I would imagine we'll get better and stand a pretty good chance of being a tricky opponent for any team in the playoffs.

Not a pretty game but I really liked how physical we were. We threw MC right off their stride but unfortunately there is no one ruthless enough up front to take advantage of all that excellent work. Then literally the only loss of concentration in defence all game and we come away with nothing. A hard lesson to learn.

Sigh. Same old story for away games. has anything changed.....
Battled hard, very competitive, created lots of chances, not clinical enough. Lose by a single goal when really should have got something out of that game.
Felt like we really missed Whinham. As good as Bott is (she was immense as a DM) but she is not a play maker. Was often the one on the edge of the box trying to make something happen. We really need a genuine number 10.
Nunn needs to pull it in a bit, almost every time she got beaten she tried to drag the player down and was over aggressive, often up the park when there was defensive cover.
I got really nervous every time the ball went near our goal keeper. Terrible first touch with her feet. She will be targeted in this area and looks likely to cough up a goal or two.. Or maybe they should play Neary in the next game. Hasn't Danielli been injured and not played for a long time? Hope Esson is back soon.
Thought our midfield and defence were great at breaking up the game. We really limited them to minimal chances.
Main looks better coming off the bench than as a starter.
Samba looks injury prone.
On a bright side. this was Melbourne City (the team that went through the league unbeaten last season). And we made them look average......
If we are binging in injury replacements. A number 10 and a number 9 that knows how to hit the target please.
