I currently don't understand Brazendale starting. She has good positional awareness, but seems a bit raw and slight for me to be starting. I would like to see Tanaka and Main given more of an opportunity to connect and make an impact. Not having them involved in the first half last week I thought took away some of our attacking impetus while we hand the wind in our favour.
Also does anyone know if Fergusson can play on the wing as well? She appears to have a really high work rate and fantastic physicality, but perhaps not enough of the finesse or the vision needed for the central striker role. Thoughts anyone?
Lastly, when will Jerez get her first opportunity? I would love to see her get a chance to show her skills.
I think our pointy end is light all round. We have scored 5 goals - an own goal, a penalty, a header from a scramble, a gift to Longo last week, and a second to Longo which was either a gift from the keeper or an own goal.
Given the players we have I'd play McCutcheon defensive midfield. Then Longo, with Whinham as attacking midfielder. You can perm the rest , maybe not much to chose between Main and Tanaka, one of them needs to be playing.
We are stacked in midfield. Virtually a 3-6-1 But we haven't conceded, keeper did well for us early on.
It's more 5-4-1. It's like we were so concerned with MV size and physicality in attack we have stacked our defence with 4 of our most physical players.

Ferguson up front cant do anything cleanly. Cant press, cant hold the ball up, cant beat anyone for pace, cant track back and defend without falling over. Unfortunately we are really missing something special up front. Jale is largely ineffective too. Ok, got my whinge out the way. Hopefully reverse jinxed and they both score.
Temple, please take Ferguson off and do not put her in starting XI next week. Better off putting on a 16 year old for experience than waste anymore time with her.
we've had chances here. Our defence has been well set and they havent caused us that much trouble. Just need to take more care with retaining possession. COYN! Big last 10!

solid game. defence was well positioned for most and we scrambled when we had too. They took a lot of long shots which shows how well we defended. The period from the 75min was some of the best attacking fluid play ive seen us put out in a while. It only resulted in 1 goal but it shows what we are capable when we get our foot on the ball and our passes stick. Very good point on the road. Well done team!!

Great to pick up a point in Melbourne after only 33% of the possession and 3 shots on target. We've seen a fair bit of Ferguson now and I can't help wondering who she's keeping out of the starting 11.
