With a few A-League teams looking for reinforcements during the January transfer window, I would think a couple of coaches may pop along to see ACFC v Japan.

No Irving - he's in UK. And I think Spoonley's been tapped up already.
is Irving coming back? rate that guy!

On holiday.
Any more deailed info on who has tapped up Spooney or are you just spinning wheels like other agents do on here with a Mr Eager?

He said it himself on TV1. Said he now has to toss up between sticking with law or going pro. But he didn't give out any names.
Agent? Moi?

That article actually makes everything from Stuff look fudgeing good. Not only is it all of one paragraph, but Japan apparently fly in on the 3rd for a match on the 2nd. Back to the future
Final score 2-0 to Japan. Japan scored their 2nd in the 90th minute.
Apart from the 90th minute goal to finally settle the result it sounded pretty one sided.
Japan are an excellent side though so I guess the result comes as no surprise.
Found an interesting article for Tee Dub's v Qatar from the QFA website.
Did Qatar want to play the AW's?
I get the feeling this is merely the QFA covering their arses for arranging - and let's be honest here, a friendly against an untested, unknown quantity of a NZ club side.
'Navy Blues push Japan in thriller'
" ...Japan looked bereft of ideas for most of the 2nd half and there was notable frustration in the dugout .... Ramon T was disappointed with the loss of a 2nd goal after dominating the game for large periods... "I think the game was pretty even. We had more of the ball by a mile" ..."

Storm brewing in Canberra for @TeamWelly vs Qatar...

FT: @followQFA 3 @TeamWelly 1
good to get a goal.
Did any fans bust out Anyone Can Play Qatar???
Were there any fans there!

Well the two ASB sides certainly did not disgrace themselves. I would think however Mr Hudson is feeling a little miffed that a New Zealand A team didn't play at least one of the games
Video removed.

I agree, plenty of players kicking around in NZ / Aus right now good enough to make that team. A chance for the likes of Eagar to show if he's up to the mark etc.
A major "Lost Opportunity" me thinks
