brockie was on a bit of form. and hes still young. he wouldve been
my pick.
His form for the U-20's and other sides was pretty average, while Ellensohn did well for NZ 'A' and is playing well for Team Wellington. I'm sure Brockie is still on the radar but he needs to earn a spot again, because at the moment he's gone backwards from where he was 2 years ago.

Where did this guy pop up from?
How long has he been in NZ? How hold is he? From the article i
guess he is under 23.
We have at least secured him for the all whites and stolen him
from the Austrians.
Good to get a new name in the fray. Good luck to him.
He's been knocking around Auckland for quite a while, was in the NZ
A side in the last year or so.
Waitakere for the first seasons of the NZFC but not a lot of game time. I know people in Auckland who have long thought he hasn't had credit he's deserved.

I've long thought he was a good player.
I remember him playing for Rangitoto College at national
premier schoolboys tournament and North Shore youth team.
In the first NZFC season he scored a number of important goals
for waitak.
The surprise for me is that he hadn't been recognised a little
bit earlier, thoug a couple of years back jeremy ruane had
hinted at passport problems.
Yeah Rangitoto won the National title in 2000 and he was the
starting striker at 15. Interesting to note that Rangitoto
has 3 ex students in the NZ team with Jeff Campbell and Jacob
Spoonley being the others.
Is he really international quality though? I would have
thought (based on having seem them all play inc. Daniel) that
Brockie, Ulovic (who I can't stand), Little (I'm sure he has a
passport now) and Pearce would have been better
choices.disco_mart2007-11-15 22:16:49
I guess Herbert sees some potential in him and form

You are probably right? Brockie could do the job as well. I guess capping Daniel secures him as an All white though. Just in case the rules change and his austrian passport causes problems later.
Gives another guy a chance too. I think Brockie is still
motivated and working hard to step back up the next level. i.e A-
League etc. But let him sit there a bit more :)
yeah be good to see Brockie in the phoenix and back with the AW's.
It would be so weird watching him at the stadium. I nutmegged him
once playing summer soccer at Saxtons field in Nelson :D! My old
club (nelson city) used to play his suburbs side all the time.

yeah, he made one heck of a mistake by going to Sydney, they didnt
show him the light of day there, whereas he was creating a name for
himself at the knights. I'll never forget that volley he hit to
draw with sydney at albany back in a league version 1, Got Face to
face with Dwight Yorke after that game too :D!
Are we starting to see the TW effect?
Because Daniel is playing and training in Welly then Ricki probably gets to see more of him and with Stu Jacobs coaching TW Ricki also gets some input on his development.
