perhaps no clubs in the capital fed have put there applications in yet.
or have they not been sent out?
Entries closed last month
nothing out of mainland football draw wise either (that I can see)
Probably have enough numbers in the other regions that they don't need to have qualifying rounds.
you mean less numbers right?

Have heard the Weenix kids will be playing too so be interesting to see them against some of those Central teams.
Hmm, usual NZF competence to the fore...
and this one, a Chch club playing a Waikato club; in round 1?
Yeah few stuff ups they are fixing

Story of their life.
Brand new comps manager I think so probably deserve some slack.
looks like the draw outside Southern were just placeholders.
I went along to the South Auckland Rangers vs Internationale preliminary round game if anyone wants to have a look...

Top reporting again Enzo, and I do hope that the chap with concussion is OK.
And you probably don't need to know this, but my two favourite clubs in Italy are Roma and Inter. Just cannot decide which one I like more.
That must look/sound like a blasphemy from your point of view !

Why are Inter your most hated team?
I would have thought there would be more likely candidates even in Italy with Lazio, Juve or any of the others in the Calciopoli scandal.
Juve's continued insistence that they have won those 2 titles that were stripped from them grates me more than Inters shenanigans. And I would call myself a casual AC Milan fan!

My intense dislike of Inter started immediately post-Calciopoli when they stepped in, filled the void and became the new Juventus. They bought up all the good players and then cheated their way to the scudetto - especially blatantly in their games against us. They were so cynical and they thoroughly enjoyed everything they got away with. Even though they had no real competition for those scudetti, they still acted like they'd conquered the galaxy at the end of each season. A couple of star Roma players went to Inter having got their big breaks with us, because they wanted glory, and one in particular (Christian Chivu) went incredibly disrespectfully saying he had always been an Inter fan. That was after we'd copped a season-long transfer ban over his move to us from Aijax! Maybe Juventus will overtake them again in my dislike stakes and you are right, the insistence over the 2 stripped titles is classless and juvenile, but for the moment I still haven't gotten over my disgust with Inter. Although....... at least they are not owned by Berlusconi!!! ;-)

After this morning, take my advice and follow Inter if you don't want to be miserable forever!! :-(
Commiserations mate.
But, sort of a win-win situation for me.
I'm a bit of an Inter fan, don't follow them as much as I used to when Serie A was on ESPN here, but I've got a good mate who's a Juve fan so it's good for banter. I agree that the post-Calciopoli titles are a little bit tainted by the circumstances, but the 2010 Champion's League win was great. It still rankles me that Sneijder didn't get World Player of the Year for 2010 - as well as the club treble, the Netherlands got to the WC final and he was great for both teams. Ah well.
If it's any consolation Enzo, Inter are pretty shark now (result against Roma this morning aside)
Anyway, back to Chatham Cup... it was a good article Enzo and illustrates why the Chatham Cup is great for smaller clubs. I like Cup competitions in part because it allows the smaller clubs an opportunity to (briefly) shine in the media and break the usual slog of a League.
Magic of the cup and all that

so the apparent 'placeholder' draw was the actual draw?
Some great match ups in there.
Which has lead to consiracy theorists to come out from under their rocks.
don't understand that. They'd have a point if it had changed slightly on last week, but it's exactly the same. Meaning the draw was done but just not announced until after qualifying.
Does detract from the magic of imagining someone sitting next to 5 hats full of club names and drawing them out before tweeting them on draw day though..............
last year I remember following the draw live on twitter, it was epic!

No problem if they had said we did the draw last week and announced it today, but it's disingenuous to say it's live. Kinda takes away the magic of the day don't you think?
Yep.
NZ football, notashamblesatall
arrrh illusions they used to be nice to wham back on a saturday.
but in public and not being the drinking kind is not good form…..
wasn't there a FIFA ruling on more transparency in the administration to stop these illusions from happening and allowing the possible MR corruption getting out of the house.

Nothing better than getting the draw live on the Radio on a Monday lunch time directly after the previous round.
Used to take the radio to school to listen to it. Oh so 60s.

they did that a couple of years ago as well - then they experimented with doing it almost live on youtube (pre-recorded and posted up ASAP) and then they have used twitter from then on (probably because that's free, and the other ones cost money)
I don't so much care on the platform but I just wish they would be transparent about the draw - nothing really gives you that like televised coverage, but they would get the benefit of the doubt and be able to do it on twitter if they had any kind of reputation of honesty.
The problem with the live draw was the extra costs of translating into understandable English the comments by Miles Davis.

At least you got nearly an hour a week on football same time same channel. Didn't matter how much of it was on West Ham.
