wrongin you appear to have some discourse with Green - care to elaborate, or your distaste for Mosgiel - your posts seem to have a recurring theme.

Nothing personal, i just think there are better keepers around.

As for Mosgiel, i think it's a pretty decent club with good people, just a few wrongins in their first team

Posting clips of him conceding goals is 'nothing personal' based on there being better goalkeepers around. Is ZG one of the wrongins in the team? As far as I can see he doesn't hide and he's done well for them this season. So which goalkeeper are you?

You clearly have a personal agenda or interest.

I think he's a great guy and a quality keeper with plenty of experience and leadership. The Mosgiel club is more welcoming than many of the other clubs in this city and will only get better with leadership and experienced youth. Though I hear that other coaches may be interested in the coaching role and ZG according to this forum is off to Caversham..?

Kiore and Fong have about 15 goals in 40 games. I don't see how this should get you a chance

Having seen him here in Auckland, he is not national league quality and if you guys are picking him, well.... there can't be much in the way of goalkeepers down there.

He is not a bad keeper, so I'm not saying he is bad or rubbish or anything like that, just that the level he is at is about right and the next level (ASBP) is a step too far for his talent level.

any other thoughts on the other lads I picked?

I think R.Mark is a great talent and could look way sharper with a quality players around him

Book has great talent and could do well in National league. Great set piece on him

Rupert Mark plays up top or wide. Watched him play a couple of games for Roslyn at the start of the season and he has great feet and a silky touch.

Lets get a few things right - because this is getting a bit stupid now.

1. Mosgiel - still a Mosgiel player and put everything into that club with coaching, playing and being asked to captain the side in my first few weeks in Dunedin. Those who question my loyalty may want to be one of the 6 people who regularly turn up to training. Played every minute of the league and attended every training including pre-season. What more can I do? I attended an after-match speech by myself ffs.

2. Southern United - if I get a shot then I will train as hard as I can - that's all I want. Had a conversation with the coach when I was moving down and that conversation was continued - there was no begging. Came through my old club.

3. Caversham - ??

3. Hit me up on facebook or email if you have something you want to say- I'm pretty approachable. I don't appreciate all the negativity to be honest and don't need it - friends and family read this shark and I find it embarrassing. I know fudge all about the people down here or the football and this year was very unsettled. I think the coming season will be better as I can focus on the football more and not adult life so much. Until someone tells me my body is broke I will keep playing and pushing myself to play as high as I can while I can- otherwise why bother?

It's easy to point out the faults in people (or highlight them with a video link) but I personally don't want to be that guy. Goalkeeping is tough enough anyway without making enemies.

**Fong is a quality player in my opinion - good finishing and quality strikes. The service provided to him was poor and his team defended 90% of their games and probably the reason behind the low return of goals. Cotter is pure quality and I rate him highly. Dijkstra is a good shot stopper and Whittaker I haven't seen much of. Interestingly there was a shortage of keepers at the start of the season - I thought Whittaker may have joined another club to get first team experience.

Best post in months. Agree that Whittaker made a mistake, needs to move club or does he want to be Dunedins Steve Harper? Waste of talent at this stage

Wrightwebb is just an athlete, he will get shown up technically at national league. Kiore is just pace, which is valuable, but can be defended easily at the top level and just because Barringer is representing the C.I doesn't mean anything, he's not NL level

Agree about Wrightwebb being an athlete but is that such a bad thing to have in the squad? If I remember correctly he scored a goal against Waitakere when Luis was the coach and they went on to win that game. Kiore will start for the youth team but his pace could be handy. Why wouldn't Baringer being in that CI team mean anything? Congrats to the kid for getting there. I think he could go well in NL. Not many CB's in the league putting there hand up this year to make it. Would struggle to get time with Joy and Prattley there. I must say im a huge fan of Cotter boy was he good for mosgiel this year! Would love to see him get a shot!

It's not a terrible thing, I just think that Technically he is not good enough, however like you say he could pop in with a few goals at set piece and be solid at the back, good luck to him. Tyrrell is not good enough, he doesn't even know what his position is. He's alright with his feet, not quick,  not strong, not good in the air and too cocky, that's hardly a recipe for a good centre back is it?

Tyrrell has to be in the mix. He'll make mistakes but so will most defenders for Southern this season or any other season. If you back him, he'll give his all for the team. Not only that but a natural leader and I certainly bet that the time he had away playing for C.I. could definitely show

You can't be serious, he cannot be in the mix. I believe he got dropped from being youth team captain last year for being to cocky and got benched for not playing well, hardly part of a great Roslyn backline either...

key words.... "last year". Also if that's true that's a fudgeing load of shark, no one should be dropped from captain for being "to cocky", you want your captain to have some level of  confidence and to believe in themselves, that's all cockiness really is.

Won't matter cos the word is that Fridge is playing a back three of Jude, Matt and Ferg with Tom and Tristan as wing backs.

More important?  It's a forum for....banter, Banta. What's your point?  You know I think my source is a bit iffy at times, and his suggestion seemed a bit left field because I'm not sure Fridge even knows what a back three or wing-backs are about.  He learned his coaching back in the day when the scots were still playing 2-3-5.

Yeah but it's a back 5 - given the number of goals they concede it didn't sound unreasonable.
