WeeNix started (formation up for debate):
Italiano
Dimairo - Fox - Evans - Tongue
Blake - Bell - Singh
McGarry - Ridenton - Stevens
Lost Stevens early injured, replaced by Khouchaba. Cahill-Fleury and Liam Wood cme off the bench.
They got a bit of a lesson from Canterbury and in particular the Canterbury midfield. Clapham certainly showed the youngsters in the middle what level they need to be at to incluence an ASB Premiership game.
Going to sound like an old prude here, but if the "casual fan" is going to be attracted to watching on Telly or going to a match, something needs to be done about the constant barrage of foul language. Sounds terrible on telly when there is next to no audible fan noise. Not talking about the odd bit of foul language, but the full on barrage.
In a land where people are used to watching rugby players call referees "Sir" it will e a turn off for many
Agree entirely and tweeted the ASB Prem account about it after yesterdays games. The game at Farrington Field was a shocker. If that had been on TV it would have been rated 16 L for a language warning most of it directed at officials.

we're not playing tiddlywinks
The swearing was so unprofessional - Oh wait so is the league.
Yes but there are aspirations for it. Having it sound like a Masters 3 game with whining from start to finish isn't going to do that.
Verbal abuse is a card-able offence. refs gotta use them.
At least 8 of the Canterbury side could/should have been.
