A big game this weekend at the Croatian Cultural Society ground at
McLeod Rd in Henderson as Auckland City (home away from home) host
Waitakere Utd, in which should be a very physical and heated
contest.
Grant Young looks to be returning for Auckland City upfront or bench, but George Suri still out
Just wondering what you think of this match?
and How many of you Auckland "football supporters" will actually be going? or will you be a follower of football only when it is on the box?

Yes i'll be going but George Suri now plays for Auckland city so
you will find it was highly unlikely he was gonna be one of
Waitakere's centre backs.
massive game this. totally indifferent result-wise, although id
probably quite like Waitak to pick up a bit of form so NZ is well
represented at the World Club champs.
btw - you should really have posted this under the NZFC
section - and you'll prob prompt more debate there as well

I think its just a case of Ben Sigmund is back, not him injured.
Keep an eye out for Hot_Dogma (see the Gallery and YF TV for shots
of him in the Sydney walk of shame), he was heading for Auckland
and looking to head out to West Auckland to catch the match.

I've been told he's injured. Cant remember the reason, think it may have been an ankle...
Didnt see him on the bench today, although I wasnt really looking.

hes injured, leg injury i think. Im pretty sure he was in the clubrooms afterwards.

Good game - probably fair result.
Not sure who would be most dissapointed - Auckland for losing
100 % record or Waitakere for not holding onto lead.
Waitak goal was Williams having a Carson moment - letting a 40
yard drive slip through his hands ; auckland goal a
typical Jordan finish.
Teams pretty much cancelled each other out .
Good crowd -perhaps 1500 plus , great day and good
facilities.
I was impressed with Henry Faraa'rodo (sp?) when he came on, quick
feet. Why didnt he start?

on the "good facilties" topic....do you think auckland would
move there? not like nextyear but in 4 or 5 years? because
there is room for development at the croatian club? unlike at
central where there is very littile room to develop?

Also, don't think he is a big game player....lost his nerve,
and his head went down.
But, hopefully he gets over it, as the rumour is Nicholson
will be stepping away from football to concentrate on hi business,

the council kisses ass to central, times change
when other people put in the hardwork and the council doesnt

P.S if u want to watch CENTRAL/AUCKLAND CITY you legally dont
have to pay becase that path behind the clubroom ends is a public
thoroughfair(spelling?) so they have to legal right to stop
