Very much looking forward to this.
All Whites v New Caledonia | Sat 12 Nov | 3:00pm | NHS / The Merchant
? Chris Wood's on fire... ?
Where is the pre match drinking spot?
Merchant
Cool - quite pricey I thought... any crowd number predictions?
Around what time will we be assembling at the Merchant? :)
I fly in at 12 so based on Auckland traffic I expect to arrive at the ground in time for shirts off
radio news said that Wynne was coming back into the AW's for this 'friendly'

When we last played New Caledonia at North Harbour - repeat result would do nicely...
Also noticed in that news hub video that Darran Bazeley was helping out. Is it normal for youth team coaches to be involved with the National team?
Not going to the game as in the UK but just brought 4 tickets for my brother in Law (and family) to watch a Kiwi team win after the AB result!!!
I hope it's a good turn out, better crowds will hopefully equal more games at home in the future.

Heard Peter Taylor on Radio Sport on the drive home last night, thought it was Anfony talking for a while - they sound just the same. Getting a team talk from those two must be like listening to an episode of Minder!
Happy to see the youth coaches there... alignment!

NZF hoping for 10,000 acc to NZ Herald.
NB Herald also says Wynne now finished season with Vancouver. So where's he going to play now?

looking at the map, I'd say 3500ish tickets sold already

Yeah not good at all :/ Will be interesting to see how it goes in the next few days though. Had a look yesterday and the gold blocs near the middle were barely half full, but now some look sold out.
Does anyone know what the transport will be like? Will they run buses to nhs like they did at the nix game last year? If not then what's parking like near nhs?
Middle blocks with the tunnel is now sold out.
The half way line blocks are selling none too badly.
The White Noise section is going to be lonely, drunken and noisy.

I think we will crack 15k with ease
15K optimistic considering we are playing a nothing team... i hope so.
Our recent results paying dividends.
imo, I reckon 8k. 3k of them will probably turn up on the day and buy tickets at the box office.

I put my family in the zone beside the Noize and not in it as neither they or I can understand why the Fever/Noize stand up for 90 minutes, blocking people's views etc ruining the good vibes that emanate from it.
Standing doesn't happen much here in the UK anymore (I've been to 10 games this season (the grounds of Truro, Plymouth, Leeds, Reading, Watford, Wycombe, Oxford) and everyone seated but chanting away.
Has there been much advertising on the radio or TV?

You sound like a cheerful bloke.

A nightmare. Looks like half the designated car park beside the stadium is now a building site. Think they're building a swimming pool! Another NHS "amenity".

"Albany Stadium Pool is a different offering to other pools in Auckland Council's leisure network...
A zero depth splash pad will provide NZF staff with their first aquatic experience with exciting splash and spray water toys, slides and a large play structure for staff to develop confidence ... There will be a permanent climbing wall in the deep end .. Other facilities include spa and sauna, fitness and group exercise area, room available for party hire... "

Would it probably be easier to park in the cbd and then get a bus to albany or something?

Possibly, but I don't think parking will be too much of an issue to be honest. It's not peak hour traffic or anything....I went to the U20 semi at NHS last year and got a park pretty easily.
but then I found myself in a pub between the car and the stadium, had a few drinks and missed the first goal....so that wouldn't happen
