you would think so, but that has been one of the issues
may be that journeymen footballers don't know anyone here and don't have much to do during the weeknights so easier to commit than Kiwi's who live here and have families and established lives etc, or it could be that some are just too lazy

Wow, very surprised ISPS Prem ranks above Malaysia and to a degree Hong Kong. According to the chart, we rank only 5 slots below the A-League...not sure how accurate that would be personally.
I'm surprised Auckland City aren't able to lure the best Kiwis from the other teams north, guys like Joel Stevens, Justin Gulley etc.. Club World Cup, OFC Champions League gives them reasonable pulling power, surely?
