good to see city braves win the local league for 2007,tight finish had to win last game of season to ensure winning the league,they won 6-1 vs castlecliff.athletic cosmos came second 2 points behind

hay man ex wangnui city player, now stop out boy here how did da firsts go for city this year?

they finished mid table,lost players from last year so had a lot of younger players coming through,they were competative but could not finish games off.they also lost the charity cup 3-1 to athletic firsts on the weekend better luck next year.

mike watson only assistant coach now,not sure what the coach's name is he was from south america i think,we all know how to shoot do not need help to learn.

 na mike didnt teach me to shot he did teach me that tequlia and tabasco was good before a game to clear ya head! yea i went three games this sesson with out scoren couse i changed to new boots oh well live and learn.

hey Andy its Jason Coombe here,  you will have to teach me the tequila trick for the under 19's,  I think Im gonna need it!!

wanganui still has a small group of teams that play in their own social competition seperate from central football. they will probably take players away from the central football league each season as the cost of the two leagues are so far apart. to play for a club in the central football social league will cost you over $100.00 not sure on exact costs as i have finally given up playing footie but when i last played our club charged $160.00 for the season. the social league charges $20.00 per player and $10.00 to join station united sports club who run the league. 

there was an attempt this year to join the two social leagues together which would of been good for all the older guys over 45 who no longer train or get coached and just want a run around on a saturday afternoon for fun. it never happened the story was on the news page on here a couple of weeks ago.
