Also if NZF said the league was professional then the Nix wouldn't be able to play in the A-League

If the New Zealand domestic league was professional then there is no way the Nix would be allowed to play in anothers country (let alone confederation ) professional league. There would be no exemption.
Not sure how this works with MLS and Canada though ?

Swansea, Cardiff, Newport County and Wrexham also come to mind.

The welsh situation is I think a historical one that would be difficult to unwind. The whole United Kingdom situation in FIFA has a long political history .European countries have always questioned the separate memberships of England , Scotland,Wales and Northern Ireland , when they are one political entity (sort of - Scottish separatism , etc).
There are a couple of other situations that spring to mind - Leichenstein /Switzerland maybe ?
The Nixs participation is the A League was only ever approved by AFC (Bin Hamman and his corrupt mates) on the basis that NZ did not have a professional league. The confederation thing complicates it but the lack of a professional league was the deal breaker.

NSU twitter says their match with ES ended 2-2, but the official website says 1-0 to NSU. If the Twitter is right, Waiheke stays up on goal difference; if the official website is right, Waiheke goes down. Have I got this right?

North Shore-Suburbs was 2-2, but Suburbs are 12 points clear of Waiheke so it really doesn't make any difference, they've been down for weeks.

Do we have a problem with Auckland City being too far in front of anyone else in the country? Unless they have a really off day against someone like Olympic or Miramar they are odds on for a treble.
Quadruple, right?

You are right, i forgot the OFC.
If there's still a Charity Cup and I mean a real one (Chatham Cup Champs vs National League Champs) it could be haul of 5
