No official announcement I can see as yet. But since Marley Leuluai has his own thread playing between the U18's & the U21's at Burnley, then surely this lad gets his own?

First Kiwi lad on the books of a La Liga club? Mrmiis will be able to put me right if I'm wrong on that one. 😅

Sounds like it's confirmed as a scholarship deal. Definitely good news for him. Hopefully he impresses and gets into some match day squad.

Don't know how true it is, but have read that he would have to be registered in the next transfer window in Spain. As far as I can tell this move happened after the Macedonian window closed - Although I'm not 100% up with the play on loopholes and the such, especially when it comes to youth players and transfers.

He wasn't listed as having been transferred through a Macedonian football website I follow which had summarised all domestic moves before their domestic deadline on February 11th.

Hi
Due to Konstantino have already done 2 transfers in Macedonian domestic league , he won’t be able to complete anymore transfer this season to the counties that their league have started since July 2023 and finishing June 2024. However he can do transfer without issue to the leagues that have started or it’s starting from January 2024 in Europe : such Finland, Ireland, Estonian, Georgia , Faroe Island, Lithuania, Norway , Sweden, Latvia, Kazakhstan, Lithuania that would be the season 2024 .
Also leagues in New Zealand and Australia are eligible for Konstantino to made transfer immediately.
There are 3 options for Konstantino now
1. Stays with UD Las Palmas just training and playing friendly game until June 2024 which is another 3 months.
2. Return to Macedonia and finish the season with his previous club that’s is still eligible for.
3. To be send on loan to some of the clubs in the leagues above  that he can be eligible for , but can’t be send from UD Las Palmas , it must be send from the club in Macedonia FK Pobeda Prilep.

Konstantino have choose to use the only option 1 and stay in Las Palmas until June when he can join officially.
From June 2024 he will be eligible to complete the move.

I just had a couple of questions if you don't mind?

I've seen a report stating that he'll be going back and forth between Spain and Macedonia until the deal is completed later on in June. Specifically it was mentioned it was just for the playing time he'll get, since he can only play friendlies until a deal is completed with Las Palmas. Is this what will be happening?

Also

He obviously keeps up with a lot of the play back here in New Zealand, as well as an eye on his national youth level team mates making their way in the game, and as it stands he could play for both New Zealand or North Macedonia. Is there a particular way he's leaning at the moment re international allegiances? Or to be a straight shooter here, has there been any contact from anyone within the Macedonian football setup during his time over there?

After  the conversation between Konstantino -Tino, his manager and the club, a decision was made: Tino should travel to Macedonia more often to play matches in order to preserve his competitive form until June, and return every second week to training in Spain. that would happen until June when he should officially be a Las Palmas player.(which will be announced officially ) As for whether he has been in any talks with New Zealand football leaders? No , after the outrageous omission for the U-17 world championship where Tino deserved his place and was not selected, no one from New Zealand contacted him after that at all. But from Macedonia regularly get in touch with him and follow his progress all the time. After  several refusals by Konstantino  to the Macedonian national team because he wanted to play for New Zealand , now definitely the first call from Macedonia will be accepted by him. And there will certainly not be a long wait for that call.
Right now he's only focusing on his career and this chance he's been given.
He flew to Macedonia on 9th March
Played 2 games for the Youth Team of FC Pobeda
One game on 10 th March
Second on 13 th March  and one more game to play on
17th March before he fly  back to Las Palmas on 18 March. He will spend 2 weeks there (due to there in Macedonia aren’t any games because of the national team playing time ) he will be back in Macedonia around 30 th March , expect to play 6-7 games as it will be scheduled as Sunday-Wednesday-Sunday
At least One more trip to Las Palmas , than he will come come back to Macedonia before permanently goes to Spain.
By the mid of June he should travel 3 times Skopje -Las Palmas -Skopje. And than permanently moving to the Gran Canaria

Thanks for the update. Obviously any rejection by NZ will have stung and understand the decision to now to accept any call up for Macedonian age group sides.

But I wouldn't reject NZ outright. With an expanded 48 team World Cup, NZ has a very easy path to future World Cups, but it will always be very hard for Macedonia. Same with the U20s WCs NZ will always be more likely to be there than Macedonia, and that event can be a great shop window. Same U23s & the Olympics.

The selectors/coaches who rejected Tino for the U17s (Martin Bullock etc) could be gone in a few years. Coaches come & go. And in their part defence selection can always be subjective especially at age group level, where players mature & develop at different times.

In summary I hope you don't close the door permanently on NZ, and I'm sure everyone on here wishes Tino all the best in Spain (Canary Islands).

Tino never said NO to NZ , he is born kiwi and feel kiwi, New Zealand is his born and home country and he is proud New Zealander , but this time he won’t say no to Macedonia neither to New Zealand .
But as we said , he is in very close connection with his manager , if anything comes it will be gone to his manager and make the best decision.  At the moment he is focusing only on Las Palmas. He is age of 17 now, his priority is to adapt as soon as possible in the football industry In Spain where effort, talent and potential are appreciated and valued

I'd imagine with this move to a higher profile team in Spain, that it will put him firmly in the crosshairs of both North Macedonia and New Zealand for the future.

Despite the disappointment of not being picked for the U17's last year, I wouldn't necessarily fret that the New Zealand door has closed. Martin Bullock has hardly endeared himself to a lot of people in the game in this country re : his bland playing style and tactical inflexibility. It will be interesting to see what happens with the fresh blood and the new coaching setup looking after the U20 lads for this cycle, with qualifiers later this year and an U20 World Cup in Chile in 2025.

And it feels like a lot in NZ football is on the up again. Not the coaches! But everything else.

A second team in NZ. Auto-qualification for the WC. Libby and Chris Wood starting in top leagues. A solid crop of professionals around the world even before Auckland becomes a thing. Lots of high quality opposition for the AWs in the last 12 months.

And hopefully a few quality young lads coming through too. Your lad here, the lad at Burnley and at Fulham. Stamenic in the Champions league. All the academy lads coming through at the Nix. Ben Waine in the Championship.

And some earlier lads like Rufer maturing and finding their feet as leaders.

Certainly it feels like the best things of the recent past have been player led and hopefully the All Whites team for the next decade can be the same.

Haven’t seen a game by him yet, but hope to get the chance week in week out in a decent league!

Cheers
