Stop Out's goal was a pen, taken by Ben Kistell, in, according to
me, the 65th minute.
The off field action was very entertaining.
Wasn't a great game. Highlight, for me, aside from the fact that WE
WON, was PNM's Corey Chettleburgh. He can PLAY!
Not bad for a school kid aye.... perhaps for the phoenix in a year or to
thats horse sh*t
Olympic will finish in fourth or third spot, theres only 1 point
seperating 5th to thrid place. Dont base a season on one bad result
in the mid point of the CL. Wait till the final couple games to
make those statements. Anything can happen in football.

Yep he can play alright - thats why he is in the NZ U17 team and good enough to be part of the NZFC Manawatu franchise....

have any guarentees.
Did I read it, Lower Hutt bounced back to beat The Mighty O

So I wasn't even close.
Dammit!

Comments I heard were:
"Olympic's lack of youth meaning they had
no boy's" Which was followed up by "na, they are all
mommies boys and cant handle the cold"
"Greeks Whine more than Poms"
and the funnest one of all
"the problem with Olympic is they have to many Greeks in Their
Team" which was said in a loud voice by a woman supporting Lower
Hutt.
Im not going to get into a heated debate, but my frustration
with referres continues, if your going to give Olympic 2 Red Cards,
one worthy, and a Penalty against, PLEASE BE CONSISTANT!!!
Same ref we had against Miamar that gave them two Penalty's.
Im seriously regarding sending a couple death threats.
O well, Barry Lewis and Shaun our, Miramar this week in the
Chatam cup then West's in the League followng. I can safley say
that olympic's future has been dicided by red cards and
penaltys.
Thats football.
And as for nightz, i like the way you only posted Lower hutts
comments, dont get me started on Olympics.

Totally agree with you Uncle Steve. The level of refereeing in CL
is a disgrace. If you can be fooled week in week out by south
american pansies who dive all day then something is wrong - I
thought the ref yesterday was better than that but I was obviously
wrong.
At the end of the day it is a man's game and there is always
going to be hard tackles and a bit of roughness - it is
football not tiddly winks.
Its about time the refs stopped favouring certain teams,
stopped trying to make the game all about them and let it flow.
Another fine example of refs ruining a good physical game.
Over the 90 minutes though Hutt had by far the better chances and
were much the better side. That is hard to deny I would have
thought? That is my view as a neutral... james dean2007-06-11

I agree that Hutt were the better side on the day and deserved
their win but my concern is the lack of consistency with the
referees. Anytime an olympic player got near Luis he fell
over and was awarded a free kick. Young Mikey gets a studs up
tackle from behind and the ref lets it go - no card nothing.
Its very easy to blame the ref but my opinion as a neutral is he had a good game. Its much easier to observe that when you have both eyes open.
Its looking like my prediction on here at the start of the season that Olympic wouldnt finish in the top 4 may come true.

As for the Lower Hutt, Olympic game, good on the hutt to take
all three points as they deserved them, but as for the reffing,
like the gaffer says, football is a physical game and i think the
refs seem to take olympic for a far to physical side when in
reality its in the physics of football.
The ref had no pace, his first touch was poor, he didn't tackle
and....
Jim is probably the most experienced, respected refs in the league
- if you're not happy with his performance - then you're never
going to be happy with any other refs performance.
probably the moral is 'Don't raise your elbow/two foot tackle
players who fall over and roll around when grass is thrown at them'
thats horse sh*t
a well respected/excellent footy player even has bad
days. Jims calls yesterday were bias. i may support the blue
and white but i think Lower Hutt deserved that game and the score
was a mere refelction of how much better they were....but Jim's
referee'n was blatently bias....brendan macintyre (lower hutt coah)
spoke to me after the game and admitted that some of his calls
were ridiculous towards the greeks

enough said there sonny. I agree.
Going by Brendans comments post match in the Chatham Cup game at
IBU - I don't think he has much regard for any refs (or perhaps
certain refs in particular).
Actually - I'll take that back - he actually praised the ref after the Marist Chatham Cup game.

I can I be basing it on "one bad result in the mid point of
the CL" when if you bothered to read what I wrote you will see that
I said it before the season started.

And if you look back to your post you re-state that your
prediction can come ture, which means you are shedding light on
your earlier prediction backing it.
Im saying, backing a silly prediction like this is
stupid.

Bunch of ass. There are good and bad reffing calls made on
every ground every weekend. The best way to stop the ref sending
you off is to not loose your head in the first place. Jim sent me
off against Olympic at Newtown Park for an elbow a few seasons
back- but the response is not to claim that the ref is bias. He
doesnt give a crap if Olympic or LH win the game. Fact. THERE IS NO
OLYMPIC CONSPIRACY!
Amen, brother Feverish... you testify brother, you
testify...
...and if I had to admit to supporting any Wellington club other than the one I play for it would probably be Olympic.

There is a difference in leading with your elbow and using your
arms to elevate yourself.
How are you suppose to jump without using your arms, 1 to
protect yourself and 2, to get elevation.
Bloody hard to jump with arms by your side

Over the half way point of the season and its not looking to
stupid to me.
If you follow your own reasoning you shouldnt be calling it
stupid till the seasons finished.
WHAT!??? Have you even looked at the Central League table????
Wests 25
Miramar 21
Lower H 18
Napier 17
Olympic 17
To me it looks quite conclusive that one match can change this
table around and if you want to stick with your prediction then
thats fie, its your funeral, but i urge you to reconsider.
Enough already lads.
Go the mighty marist this weekend. must be the first away game
in the cup Wests have had for a long time. Amazing how the draw
works - rigged is probably a better term
Ya Uncle Steve, Ive looked and are Olympic are 5th, hence not in
the top 4. And after their next game they will most likely be
comming 6th.
And theyres only 1 point seperating 5th adn 3rd so its too close to
have any guarentees.

Olympic ame in hand, against wests. hmmmmm, ill take one point from this one.
That is my Game of the week. Olympic v Wests. Withl Olympic
looking to rebound off a demoralizing loss to Miramar, and West's
continue their dominace in the CL we can look foward to a grueling
match full of surprises. One surprise although will not be the
scoreline. Im backing West's who are full of class at the moment to
take full adavntage of Olympics poor form and injuries and take
full points from this one.
But as with olympic, you never know what you will get, so
hopfully our boys step up, which for us could be the game of the
season as it will be a piviotal game for the race for the top
three.
and thats Uncle Steven with a Steven, not Stephan.
