Great draw -  Why Don't the English FA, for the FA Cup draw  follow our lead - every year the semi-final draw would be Liverpool v Man Utd  [ north ]  and Chelsea v Arsenal [ south ].               Micky mouse set up. Open up the South island and North island to an open draw from round 3 so for example two Wellington teams could meet in the final.

Very "wise words"

What are the chances of getting the next draw done in the presence of some  "Yellow Fever" members... , now that I would call above board and beyond any suspision/rumours move

If that happened, the semis would be

Stokes Valley vs Wellington Girls 2nd 11
Waterside Karori vs Waterside Karori 2nds

I'd then put money on a Wellington Girls 2nd 11 vs Waterside Karori 2nds final

I was under the impression it was an open draw, altho I agree it doesn't really look like it.  The women's knockout is still in a regional draw phase even tho they are in quarters as well I think...

from the news item on the front page:

A total of 122 teams (down on previous years) - from club and business-house leagues and schools - paid the $150 entry fee to contest one of New Zealand's oldest sporting competitions.

In the absence of any sponsorship, the $18,300 is used "to run the competition" with a hefty portion earmarked for stadium hire and other costs, including entertaining guests, at the final.

If there are no sponsors, who are the guests that need entertaining?  Family members of the NZFA?
