Looked like Roslyn were to classy for Tech alright - fortunately though it wasn't the strongest Tech side. Thought Cavershams side was pretty strong and that showed in the score line. Can't wait for the actual season to start because there has been some heat on display already so we could be in for some real derby type passion.

Heard Brando scored a ripper free kick, f@#k surprised it didn't go out for a throw in!

Ripper free kick my fu&^in arse, it was going out for a throw in until it hit the wall then ended up in the back of the net.
Player of the year, whoevers decision that was needs shooting and needs to be taking away from the game altogether.

I had an eye on all of the pre-season games on Saturday. Caversham looked the best team in the league by some margin.

The Roslyn - Tech game was pretty awful.  Jimmy Vaughn won't score another 30 yarder this season and if Roslyn are going to use Brand on free kicks then they won't score from a dead ball again this year.

From what I hear Tech have probably got the most depth (and the most players still to return) but they did last year too and only managed 3rd in the SPL.

Yeah it was an awful game, probably was never going to be a great game in those conditions & with a few players missing. Looking like Tech v Cavy next week, unless Varsity can upset Roslyn...

I wouldnt say Caversham was anything special with nearly a full strenght side on the field minus only Tim"Im so pritty"Horner and Jeremy"Im so ripped"Wild and with only two games next weekend they have a long way to go to win the league.Roslyn were the class side of the day completely out classing Tech with Brano running riot around the Tech back four making crushing tackles and i dont need to mention his 30 yard freekick.Vaugh has taking signing of the year away from Alistair rickery with that screamer with rickerby only looking like a passenger for most of the 90 minutes.

It did look like tech were missing a couple of player's in Ross"Mrs Soccer"Mckenzie and Blair"Im a pisshead"scoullar and i think they will get another strong test against Caversham next week to see where they are really at but they were looking a little shackie at the back to say the least.

Id like to see Boylan in a pair of boots before the start of the season he is looking a bit sloppy and that's being nice..

Surprised that Mosgiel couldn't beat the Tip Face last week, especially with everyone except Falvey playing.   I reckon Varsity could upset Roslyn but they will need to put their best eleven out and not just trial every rooster that turns up with boots.

Doesn't look like Callum is going to Tech.  So that other guy could well be Tech's new first team keeper.  I heard Zane(?) Wilson has taken a job in Auckand?  Will Tech be relying on Tony Boomer maybe?

This weekend I have heard that tech are bringing out all of the big guns (Schoular and Burgess) for this weekends game so they have a chance at winning... although we all know that Caversham are going to roll them!

Does anyone have any idea what is happening with the games this weekend? rumors are that teams may play two games in one day, or is this all talk?

Chatting to a few Varsity boys on sat night, Jimmy Vaughan should buy some extra shinpads!

In other news, Sam Jasper to remain at Tech & Henderson looking at leaving to live in Melbourne within the next month

They could really do with Jasper with only Coburn in reconised CM as for Henderson no big loss to Cavvy with horner there

If Rickerby is having a good day then the right or left back isnt. Very dangerous. Definately chunky tho,  like the heavy weight version of Aaron Lennon
