Great game at the cali, very entertaining but Three Kings definetly deserved to win in the end. Cavy rode their luck a little bit. Guess they can concentrate on taking out the league title now?

Still don't understand why they wouldn't have played the game Sunday to get a better crowd?

Interesting comments from paul Marshall of Three Kings when interviewed about Chatham Cup draw.Was very impressed by Caversham and made the comment that he wondered why more of them weren't playing NZFC. Stated that if they were then Otago would be competitive. Does this hint at some failing in the Otago set up or is he making a uninformed observation ?

because... otago united = tech united. Cavy have been the powerhouse of dunedin football for the last decade, yet technical seem to have the majority of players in otago united. Have a look at the otago united board that might have something to do with it

haha common horsie, its Phelo's decision in the end who plays for Otago & can you tell us who from the board is from Tech, Bo Chids is for sure, but who else?

Poor but in saying that, its quite hard to attract good players from around NZ to come down to Dunedin esp during summer, Otago would probably perform better if it was a winter league, then you would have the likes of Overton, Wild & if he could be bothered Mackenzie.

Horsehead, Cavy and Tech are always gonna dominate Otago teams because they have by far the best players, funnily enough thats why they are dominating the league. You could say Roslyn are not far behind in 3rd but they are actually miles behind Tech and Cavy at the moment. 14-0 v Tech and 5-1 v Cavy this year. Roslyn man for man wouldn't have many if any players that would oust Cavy or Tech players from starting lineups. Keats, Connor, Brand have all tried and failed.

Phelo will only be coaching the youth team this year , Malc is the new head coach of Otago United

Little is in auckland,cockburn going into porn,scoular ir concentrating on team big fruit,deeley is moving away with girlfriend,jackson to collage,henderson cant get a club game so hes nt up2 it and burgess has already scored enough goals for this season 2 times over..coldicot and ben elder leading the line

hes been riding the pine the last month or so, bit of a waste bringing out the import when rhys was already there

maybe we'll see a henderson / scoullar centreback pairing next season at Tech or Mornington...

Agree..not so sure about the frankenstein and boylan tho maybe a bit far,there all completely diferent players aswel with horner and henderson being alot smaller than most and wel boylan alot bigger than most

Henderson is better than Boylan & Shaw, can't believe they're on the list to be honest. Everytime Tech played Roslyn this season Boylan would drop far too deep, probably cause his too slow & cause he doesn't trust his centrebacks (Shaw). Tech would play the whole game in roslyn's half & it allowed Tech's wide players to cheat & get in behind the full backs on a regular basis, in saying all that hes not bad in air.

Agree Boylan does alot of good things to that side but sits far to deep and it realy hurts him,was talking to scoullar today and he hinted that fridge had talk to henderson because he was hoping to push prattley foward next year to replace live wire winger juda flaws whos heading away in search of love with fridge hoping 2 play parkin in at the left back position where he is more at home

I have unfortunatly only seen one game between roslyn and tech this year and Shaw had an ok game...big and strong in the air but did however struggle at times when the ball was on the ground...i would rather have a centre back who can win the ball in the air than a fanny dancer centre back who thinks he can play...in my opinion with henderson the size that he is (5 foot nothing) will struggle to compete at any level higher than the southern premier league as a centre back...period

Latest SPL news is Grants Braes could be signing henderson on a 3 year contract for $50 and a gobby from ben elder

haha classic, agreed. I reckon dave shaw is a quality centreback, defensively quality in the air and good with the ball on the deck, should be pushing for otago united honours. Henderson is good in the air for a little guy and im suprised hes been on the bench the last month. Schollour is a quality player but hes not a centreback

I saw him play 3 or 4 games at centre back for otago this year and didnt think he went to bad but il take your word for it NZ,as for the fanny part i totally agree id say he'd be one of the top 3 most hated in dunedin football with deeley and mckenzie..it was a pleasure to see him get a clip around the ear by dale and his chipmunks in craft a month or two back!shaws not bad but abit slow on the turn and struggles to keep his cool from what i have seen
