Some of it does resemble katakana (I used to be quite good at Japanese but haven't used it since leaving high school), but I'm pretty sure it doesn't actually mean anything.

The 'C' kind of looks like the Kanji for 'Kan' ie Period of time. The 'K' looks like 'Dai' ie big or large. And the '!' could be the Kanji for 'ichi' or one.

Does that ring any bells with you?

I never learned Kanji, I only did it for a year (and to be honest I never actually attended school very often) because I went to Japan a couple of times with my school + had a Japanese girlfriend for like 4 months. I can only remember words now, rather than the written language.

Some of it is Chinese.  I should know, I am of Chinese descent. The rest is just made up so as to complete the joke

Yes J82 it should, but for the record Kanji is Chinese written language incorporated into the Japanese language.

The metal staples holding my sternum together (triple bypass back in July) setting off the metal detector at Chch airport on Sunday after the game.  Had to show the security staff the scar on my chest.
