NZFC off season transfers - post all rumours here
35 of Wgtns top players attended a presentation from Stu Jacobs and Charlie Howe outlining the upcoming season...an open trail game is being held 4 Sept making sure that everyone from Wgtn who is keen gets a look in. A smaller training squad will be selected that week. Whilst some contracts are being offered prior the idea is that Wgtns best compete for a spot rather than deselecting players before they get a chance. Its a fresh approach. Also know that several out of town players are in talks and would love to be in and around Wgtn due to the fever & the nix! Bit vague I know but names will come out soon enough but it is exciting for TW this year!
Heard he never even lasted a training session at Central Utd last week.
i agree with you multilyith - why is the perception of glamour and achievement always associated with big city sides? youngheart have been much better performed than TW, so why should anyone assume that playing for TW would be a step up?
there has been, and still are other good players...he was a massive asset though.
hopefully Siggie will come home
Poor Youngheart... you can be as fast as you like but an inability to control a ball is a major flaw.
That gives us three current All Whites - Sigmund, Pritchett and Jeff Campbell. The only other NZFC player is Barron.
Looks like title number four is on its way to Kiwitea St. Shouldn't even have to kick a ball - should be annoited champions straight away.
What are the rest of you franchises going to do?
Brilliant! It seems to me that Canterbury United get all the good players and then lose them (such as Fisher, Ziggy, and Bannatyne).
There is no advice or direction coming from the bench. The Brazil coaching was yelling instructions to his players non-stop at one stage and they were 3-0 up.
If you listen to Seatter we must remain positive - presumably this menas Tuaa will get to keep his Under 17 job - because he is wiser for the experience of having been to a World Cup. No matter that this team was hyped as the one that might be able to do something. Longer build up and more games provided than any other and they have turned in the worst results.
Be interesting to see how Tuaa handles the Auckland City fans if he produces the same results at the club.
Why did the club not re-appoint Allan Jones I had heard he had agreed to take the role and instead we end up with Tuaa.
