Me, mate and our better halves heading over.
Anyone else going ?
yea mate, ill be training it down from brisbane. do we have a section? or just look for the yellow and black?
Away supporters (or in fact ANY supporters) should not be hard to find at a Gold Coast match!
bahahaha. a friend was at a match there a few weeks back and said there more security guards watching the game than fans in the stadium
i'm possibly going....dumb question though: i'm assuming one can just rock up and get a ticket on the gate (i mean, i know there isn't exactly going to be a shortage of space at Skilled Pk, more that they don't have some system whereby it is only pre-sales etc). anyone know? because i may not make up my mind until quite close to game time.
I think there is a self imposed 5,000 limit but the last few games have had crowds of about 2,000 and they also said no one would be turned away so should be no problem to rock up and get a ticket.
Remember get a ticket to Away Supporters Zone.
Advice from the local supporters club re a pre-match beer is;
"Rq's tavern, we don't get many away supporters in there, but you're more than welcome. It's on the corner of Markeri st and Robina Parkway, also has a free shuttle bus to and from the game".
Last ear we rocked up before the match and got our tickets at the venue no problems.
As I said on our forum guys, more than welcome at RQ's.
I would buy tickets before you got to the ground, gives you free public transport as well as avoiding queues for tickets. This week they have a $5 deal for all kids playing in the champions cup, redeamable at the ticket office at the ground. 2000 kids so there will be queues!
We are expecting a bigger crowd Friday than the last couple of games. There is no crowd cap. Just a reconfiguration of the seating, if 27 000 tickets were sold 27000 could get in.

Queues for tickets for a gold coast match....mate ....your dreaming, unless of course Clive has deemed it necessary to have one ticket booth!
really? free transport for ppl with tickets? i heard that wasnt happening. but ok, ill buy my ticket tomoro. everyone whose a soccer supporter on the gold coast and in brisbane isnt going coz they all think clive is a dickhead for treating the fans like he does. but im still keen to get ratarsed and get mhy kit off for the 90mins!
