Ryan Nelsen will miss New Zealands mid-year tour of Europe but has assured coach Ricki Herbert that he will be available for the All Whites proposed tour of Asia in September and their World Cup qualifiers later this year.
The Blackburn Rovers defender today withdrew from New Zealand matches against Wales and Ukraine in Wrexham and Kiev on May 27 and June 7 (NZT) respectively.
Blackburns medical staff have told Nelsen he must rest and strengthen the rare hamstring injury that has limited him to just 17 English Premiership, FA Cup and Uefa Cup appearances this season after nine months on the sidelines.
But he has assured Herbert that he will be available for New Zealands proposed two-match tour of Asia in September and the four World Cup qualifying dates October 13 and 17 and November 17 and 21.
FROM NZ SOCCERYes your rigth, I also think that now, because NZ SOCCER haven't pubblicate news about the tour now.
