"The Phoenix coach denies the season is dangling on a knife-edge, with the fans anxious for a win to be posted to cast aside the demons of previous New Zealand sides in the A-League.

Herbert admitted it would be a great weight off the shoulders to break the new club's duck, but he pointed out that only Central Coast and Newcastle Jets have posted wins after three rounds"

This quote from the article worries me a little bit in that whilst only two teams have recorded wins, Ricki seems to forget that the Jets solitary win and one of Central Coasts was at our expense.

I think Ricky has got it figured out, and he's hardly likely to say to the media "Oh yeah, you're right we'll give up now."

I believe we will get points (1 already) and wins. Perhaps the pre-season raised expectations a bit too high, but we will improve as a side with more time on the pitch together.

Basically, I trust Ricky and Stu J's decision-making, they've done a great job so far, and Ricky deals well with a media that tends (as do all mainstream media) to either hype things up or try to spread uneccesary woe and fear.

That was the headline of the article disco_mart got the quote from. The article was about how Daniel was doing some swimming in the harbour to help his hip injury heal in time for the sydney game.
